Goals For 2022

I’ve been meaning to do this for weeks, but things prevented me from getting around to it. And although more than half-way through January is probably a little late to be doing this, what the hell, better late than never I suppose. And some of you may be interested in my art goals for 2022.

Frankly, last year was terrible for me in all kinds of ways that disrupted my creativity, so I’m hoping for a better year this year. It’s not been a great start so far, but there’s still plenty of time for things to improve.

Enough rambling, on to my goals for the year ahead.

Catch up on Owed Pics - I fell behind quite a bit over the course of last year, and I owe stuff to people. I appreciate how patient everyone has been with me, but I do feel kind of guilty about it all. So, I would really like to get caught up with things.

Finish ‘A Meeting of Masters’ - This one is the most achievable. There’s only four pages left and they are coming along nicely. It will be good to finally finish it. Of course, then I’ll have to decide on a comics project to replace it.

Learn to use Blender - This is an idea I’ve had in the back of my mind for a while. I’d kind of like to figure out Blender and use it to create 3D environments that I can use as nice backgrounds for my pics. And if it goes really well on that front, who knows? Maybe I could start creating fully 3D artwork. We’ll see how it goes. Whatever happens, my patrons here will be the first to see anything I create.

Be More Productive - Last year, my levels of productivity were all over the place, up and down all the time. Perhaps understandable with some of the stuff I was dealing with, but I still want to try and do better this year, see if I can be more consistently productive.

Return to Writing - The storm of crap life threw at me throughout last year really killed my desire to write and I pretty much did almost nothing on that front. This year, I want to try and get back into it, as I still have so many stories I want to finish, as well as new ones I’d like to tell.

Streaming - This is perhaps the most uncertain of my goals for this year. I am thinking it might be good to get back into streaming my art. But it would all depend on if my patrons would like to see it or not and if I can work out a good day and time for people.

And there you have it, the things I’d like to achieve over the course of 2022. I’m hoping for a good and successful year, but we’ll just have to see how it goes.
