Changes to my Patreon
Added 2021-02-23 12:11:15 +0000 UTCSome of you may remember that in my plans for the year post last month, I mentioned that I was considering dropping the prices here on my Patreon. Well, I have been thinking about it a lot, and wanted to share the changes I’m considering and see if any of you had any thoughts or opinions.
Basically, what I’m currently thinking is simplifying my Patreon a little, cutting it back from the three main tiers to two.
Tiers 1 and 2 would be merged into a new ‘Standard’ Tier. Essentially, this would be an early access tier, featuring all works, writing, art and comics, that will eventually be posted elsewhere.
What is currently Tier 3 would be renamed the ‘Premium’ tier, and will feature all content that is intended to be exclusive to this Patreon, so that would be ‘Furry Guardians’ and ‘The House of Lazarus’ as it currently is, plus there might be some occasional Patreon exclusive pics and stories in future. I do also have an idea for another project that would likely end up here, once I’m more caught up and back on track with everything else.
As for costs, my plan is for the standard tier to be $5 a month, which is the same price as the current tier 1, but since it would now feature comics as well as writing and art, it would offer more value. The premium tier would be $10 a month, so all tier 3 patrons would see a reduction in the cost of being a patron here. The commission tiers would also be reduced in cost by $5 a month.
I am currently considering implementing these changes within the next week, before the end of the month. I just wanted to see if anyone had any opinions, objections or questions about this plan before I went ahead with it.
