End of June Update

I just wanted to give you all an update on things.

I’m sorry I’ve not really managed to finish anything this month. I can assure you that I have been trying and things are in the works and progressing, but despite some high hopes at the start, it has been another bad month in which the universe decided to dump some more problems on me in addition to all the stress and exhaustion of my job and everything that has been going on in the world these past several months.

Summer has arrived and hit me like a ton of bricks, with unexpected heatwaves and uncomfortably high temperatures. I don’t do well in very hot weather and seemed to have many days where the heat just sapped my energy and slowed me down considerably.

On top of that, I’m facing big changes at my job in the very near future that could possibly lead to things on that front becoming worse than they already are. But nothing has been decided yet, so it’s just a ton of uncertainty causing me to stress out and worry a lot about my future.

The lesson to learn here is to never underestimate life’s ability to dump crap on you.

But some good news is that I actually have 2 weeks off work at the start of July. Without work to worry about, it will be easier for me to focus on art and get stuff done and posted. So, if all goes well, you can expect to see a slew of new stuff posted over the next few weeks. I also want to take the time to get back into streaming for those of you who are interested in that.

One last thing. Apparently, Patreon is going to start charging sales tax on pledges in some areas where the law requires it, starting in July. I don’t really understand how it works all too well, but I have had to update the various tiers with details of the benefits for this purpose. If this new tax adds a significant amount to anyone’s pledge, let me know. If too many people see significant cost increases, I might have to look at adjusting prices at some point.

That’s all for now. Well, except for me thanking you all once again for your continued support of my Patreon during these tough times. I truly appreciate it, more than I can express. Thank you all so much!

I can certainly relate to work piling on you. Hopefully it's not going to be too bad should things change, but I'm cheering you on so I hope that helps, for whatever it's worth. Hooray for the time off though, hope you're able to use it to relax and such. Whatever work artwise you're able to get done we'd all love to see, but take care of yourself first and foremost. :) And I'll keep an eye out for that, but so long as it doesn't change what you get, if I end up paying taxes then that's fine, and if you have to adjust prices so you get what you were getting before it and I pay more, that's fine too. :) Always hoping you're doing well. :D
