State of the Patreon: New Plans

It’s time to update you all as to my new plans with regards to this patreon, since my old plans had to be scrapped. I’ve been thinking a lot about this, even though it has been a rough several days for me, and I have now settled on what I want to do going forward.

Schedule

The schedule part of my plans is still going ahead. From now on, I’m going to try and do at least two new pics every month as well as post a new comics page by the end of every week. I’m going to try and kick of the first week with a few comics pages, some of which I meant to finish off and post last week/month but I fell behind. We’ll see how this goes and how well I handle this schedule.

Polls

Starting sometime very soon, probably this weekend or early next week, I’m going to start running semi-regular polls, allowing patrons to have some input on what pics I produce. I have decided to keep things varied by having different types of polls, so its not the same kind of thing every time. These are the types of polls you’ll see:

Ideas – I will present a number of ideas, and you will all get to vote of which you’d like to see become a finished pic.

Keywords – I will randomly select some sets of vague keywords. I will then use whatever set wins the poll as inspiration for a pic.

W.I.P – You’ll get to see some basic work in progress sketches and then vote on which you want to see get finished and coloured.

Patron Suggestions – Patrons will be given a chance to suggest pics they’d like to see me do, and then everyone will vote on which I will actually do.

I haven’t decided what kind of poll we’ll be kicking off with, I’ll likely just select one at random. I’m hoping you all will like having a say in my art.

New Tiers

Sometime this month, I will be introducing some new higher tiers. They will have a higher cost and limited availability, but will come with a pic by me every month, either a black and white sketch or a full coloured pic. I’m still in the process of figuring out exact pricing and availability. I don’t want to leave it until too late in the month, so it will probably be around mid-September that I bring them in. So be sure to keep an eye out if that’s something that interests you.
