Upcoming Changes: Basic Schedule & Monthly Raffles

I just wanted to update you all as to a couple of changes for my Patreon I’m planning for next month, as I really want to improve my page and make it more worthwhile for my supporters

First off, I’m going to try and implement some form of basic schedule. From next month, I’m going to try and aim to produce and post at least one comics page per week from one of my comics projects (Furry Guardians, House of Lazarus, Meeting of Masters). I’m also going to aim to produce at least 3 pics per month. I’ve been giving it a lot of thought, and I do think I can manage that. And my hope is that having goals and deadlines to aim for will help motivate me more.

The other thing is that I think I’m going to implement an additional benefit for my patrons in the form of a ‘Request Raffle’, wherein a randomly selected patron will be able to request a simple pic from me. At the moment, I am thinking of doing this twice a month, possibly more if it goes well. If it goes badly, I might have to drop it down to once a month, although I really don’t want to do that unless absolutely necessary.

I’m still in the process of finalizing the raffle rules and will make a post on it when I have, but I wanted to fill you in on the basics, to give you an idea of what I have in mind.

So, what I’m thinking is that only people who have been patrons from the beginning of the month (i.e. those who have paid) will be entered into that month’s raffles. I just don’t think it would be fair to paying patrons to have someone join mid-month, win the request, and then possibly leave without having paid a penny.

Also, I am considering giving higher tier patrons a higher chance of winning. So when it comes to making the prize draw, tier 1 patrons would have their names in the pool of possible selections once, the names of tier 2 patrons will be in the draw twice, with tier 3 patrons’ names being in there three times.

To make things fairer, each patron will only be allowed one win per month. Any winners will not be included in any other raffles for that month.

The raffle winner will be able to request a full colour pic from me, however I think I’m going to restrict it to a single character pic with basic background. Content restrictions will apply similar to when I have done commissions in the past. That being various things I dislike and do not draw not being allowed (such as gore, cubs, scat, diapers, etc), as well as no copyrighted characters from games/TV shows/Comics (such as pokemon, Digimon, TMNT, etc).

As I said, I will post a full finalized version of these rules once I have worked them out. But for now, I would be interested to hear any thoughts any of you might have, either on the raffle idea or my basic schedule.
