Thrash Metal Workout
Added 2025-04-03 11:57:38 +0000 UTCI recently uploaded this fun mini-song to my YouTube channel as a homage to Thrash, one of my favorite styles of music, and got loads of requests to transcribe it for the Guitar School - so here we go! Figured it would make for a fun bonus lesson for those of you who are looking for an extra challenge to work on.
It's somewhat of a musical collage, consisting of a bunch of riffs and licks heavily inspired by my favorite Thrash artists and guitarists (namely Testament, Megadeth, Metallica and Sylosis), with a bit of my own style thrown in for good measure. This is definitely quite technically demanding and is intended for more advanced players but as usual I've included a slower backing track so everyone can have a crack at it!
Good luck and don't forget to share your progress with everyone in the Discord server!
