"Cemetery Gates" (Pantera) Solo Transcription & Lesson/Analysis
Added 2025-02-18 20:33:24 +0000 UTCSo many legendary Pantera solos, so little time! But here it finally is, my definitive transcription and breakdown for Dime's masterpiece "Cemetary Gates!
Out of all the big Metal guitar icons, Dime is one of the hardest to replicate. It's one thing just learning all the notes of a Pantera solo, but it's another thing entirely to get the feel right and make it sound right. This solo is definitely no exception! A lot of care and attention to detail needs to be paid to get this solo sounding right, especially in the moody 1st half.
The fast legato licks in the 2nd half are also no joke and will require a good amount of time spent to nail!
Good luck and don't forget to share your progress with everyone in the Discord server!
