"Wasted Years" (Iron Maiden) Solo Transcription & Lesson/Analysis
Added 2025-01-16 17:15:33 +0000 UTCI've had a tonne of requests recently for this Iron Maiden classic, so it's finally time to dust off the super-Strat and crank the chorus!
The solo from Wasted Years is probably Adrian Smith's most iconic solo, which perfectly showcases his super tasty phrasing. In true Smith style it has a wonderful mix of Hard Rock Blues and Aeolian licks, with just the right amount of technique and flash.
This is an ideal solo for low-intermediate players to start pushing their playing further, and just a sick piece of playing in general to add to your repertoire!
