1 Minute Workout: Tapping
Added 2024-02-09 17:57:35 +0000 UTCHey everyone! I'm hyped to be back with the next instalment of the " 1 Min Workout" series, where I provide you guys fun, short workouts focussed on a specific guitar technique. This time we're focusing on TAPPING!
Like last time, I've structured this exercise in a "5 levels" format with tapping licks of increasing difficulty; starting with basic 2 finger tapping licks on 1 string and going right through to some insane string-skipping tapped arpeggios at the end!
Good luck and don't forget to share your progress with everyone in the Discord server!

2024-02-10 13:27:13 +0000 UTCPretty sure he means gear when he says effects. Andrew, Ive heard Tosin Abasi say that you need split coils to play his style most effectively and thats why both he and the guys from Polyphia play Fishman pickups as theyre the only active pickup to give you splt coil capabilities. Single coils work well also but to hell with the feedback youre going to get with overdrive. From the pedal perspective, it depends what youre writing and how long you're looking to hold a tapped note for. Unless you have extremely weak fingers and are playing a clean tone, whatever sounds best to your ear should work, i'd guess. Otherwise compression might be your friend. These are just guesses though. Maybe Lord Beansly will have a better amswer!

2024-02-09 18:20:26 +0000 UTCAre you able to provide an instruction-set on what effects are best used to create clear tapping tonalities?
