Simple Alternate Picking Exercise
Added 2023-02-09 00:09:36 +0000 UTCAs it seems like you guys have been making AMAZING progress on your lessons and exercises so far, and considering I've had some extra time this week, I've put together this bonus exercise for practicing your alternate picking! It's built around ascending major triads, alternating between A Major and D# Major (somewhat outlining a Half-Whole Diminished Scale). I've provided tabs + backing tracks at 3 varying speeds for those of you wanting to push the tempo.
Good luck and don't forget to share your progress with everyone in the Discord server!

2024-09-29 15:34:44 +0000 UTCI had a good time with this. It took a few days to get the notes under my fingers, then when I had the notes I started with the backing track but something seemed off. When you played it on the video to me it imparted a triplet feeling and thats how I was playing it, but when I looked at the musical notation it showed 3 sets of 2 notes in 3/4 time. Never mind that is the time sig of Manic Depression. I adjusted the phrasing away from the triplet feel and it sounded way better.
