Pick-Slanting For Sweeping

Thanks for all the amazing feedback so far on the lessons, I'm super chuffed that you guys are enjoying the content! The sweeping lesson has proved especially popular and I've had several requests for me to expand on the picking mechanics behind my technique, as some of you seem to be having trouble when descending arpeggios.

Good luck and don't forget to share your progress with everyone in the Discord server!

Interesting, I find it harder the other way. But I think it's just because of my left hand being less accurate while ascending

Hey man, best to leave a video on one of the feedback channels on Discord demonstrating your problem so I can help fix it! Cheers!

Thanks for this amazing advice! I'm working on my sweep picking ability, but now I have a little problem. It's about muting strings. When I sweep up or down, I accidentally mute the strings and don't know how to avoid that.

I hate practicing sweep picking. It is without a doubt, the most industrial guitar mechanic to learn. Every time I try it, I end up almost throwing my guitar across the room.

Happy to have helped Phil, cheers!!

Amazingly helpful thanks. I now can't believe how little thought I've given to the angle of the pick over the years!

Hey Ray, thanks for the feedback! I didn't bother for this one seeing as it's only 1 very small little exercise, but sure in future I'll include a Guitar Pro file regardless!

Bradley Hall

awesome work .. is there any chance you could create guitar pro files for all these exercises, like you did for the warm up exercises? great for speeding up and slowing down tempos...

Ray

That's helpful af. Didn't even realized how much tension I'm putting on the strings
