Hey guys!
So, I hope nobody is too mad about this, but I took the liberty to forego the poll and truck on forward with this show! I'm really enjoying it, and I hope you all are enjoying it, as well! :)
Anyway, IMMEDIATELY when this episode starts, you can feel just how different things are now. The prison went from looking like a fucking hellhole nightmare to actually feeling like a functioning little community. Crops, fences, animals, routines, and it’s weirdly wholesome for a second, until it wasn't.
I have to constantly remind myself that there are NO HAPPY THINGS HAPPENING IN THE WALKING FUCKING DEAD!!! That store run with the helicopter crash was fucking insane. The walkers just raining down from the ceiling was unexpected. That's one of the really cool things with this show. They keep finding new ways to show the deaths and the hoards. That's hard to do for a show! It was chaotic, disgusting, and one of the coolest sequences the show’s done so far.
But the part that stuck with me most is how much the group has grown. Carl’s more mature, Michonne feels fully part of the family, and Rick is trying so hard to be someone other than who he was. SUPER interesting start to the season.
What does season 4 do for you guys?
Love you all,
Alex
