This was one of the most emotional episodes of this show I have seen! Like... fucking hell, man.
It gives so much more context though, so that was cool, but DAYYUUUMMM this one seemed to hit extra hard.
I heard the rating on this episode was extremely high, as well. What were your thoughts about this episode?

I would sacrifice anyone to save my children or grandchildren. All the parents/grandparents I know that watch this say the same. Most of the single people I know tend to side with Ellie (not all). I think it's perspective. Same as seeing that NYE night from Joel's POV this time. Such an amazing show and brilliantly acted across the board.

I've played the games numerous times(unhealthy amount of time) after the second game I had a mindset of "fuck joel, he deserved what he got" but I'm also not straying away from the fact that he is a good written character and if it wasn't for him decisions we wouldn't have gotten a second part to the game. Ellie is completely in the right to have hatred towards joel, also remember, joel is not a good person. He may have been good early in his life before the outbreak and after he found ellie. But in-between he was a ruthless as a bandit/raider. I Loved this episode alex, it's got quite a few similarities to the game but also was quite different in it's own way.

Never mind the risk that would have been to Joel and Ellie walking back with him. And the potential of risking the entire town just for one man . It sucks for sure, but itβs the reality of their world
