Star Wars: Rebels | S2 E13 | "The Protector of Concord Dawn" (UNEDITED)

Hey guys!!

ANOTHER FULL DAY OF STAR WARS: REBELS!!!

So, this episode really surprised me, to be honest. The story felt way more focused, and the emotional weight behind the characters actually landed. I feel like there was a stark difference between the vibe of this episode and early season 1 episodes. You can tell they’re starting to trust the audience more—less "filler", (I fucking hate that word, but couldn't come up with a better one) and more substance.

The way they handled the conflict in this episode didn't feel forced at all, and the visuals during the final act? Genuinely impressive! THE MUSIC TOO! Like fuck man! That was awesome.

This shit is getting really good!

Love you all,

Alex

Watch the Mandalorian, they have tinkered with the mando culture and history a bit, but its my favorite live action star wars product ever. Worth checking out.

Arc trooper

Say what you will about the Jedi, but they are definitely not shy about killing their enemies.

Walter

Watching this feels like Alex completely forgot about some Clone Wars arcs. :D its wild . And yeah Rebels is more famly friendly yes. But this show build more important things for the future of Star Wars. Its almost bigger than Clone Wars. But CW is OG no doubt about that

sfush

no reaction to sabine being from house vizsla/death watch 😢

Lance Rexroat

With the Mandalore, it really depends on what house you’re dealing with. But yeah; the whole reason why Satine was so focused on pacifism is the same reason they live in giant dome cities. The land was blasted to glass in one of their pointless civil wars. You probably learn the most about Mandalore in general in Rebels and Clone Wars. “The Mandalorean” focuses its lore mostly around one specific group.

Hotaru Tomoe

I love that Hera is your favorite character thus far. I won’t spoil anything but Kanan is mine. But I love that you pick Hera! She’s so great. She’s my second favorite.

Steven Ellis

I would say, clone wars explains why the mandatories are divided. Rebels explains what they did after the war and the mandalorian explored different clans with a dash of back story Also rebels is way more child friendly than clone wars. Yes there is death, but Clone wars kills characters you are aware of like it’s going out of style

Charlie Fontana

Yeah, most people agree, at least of s1, that rebels is more child friendly than clone wars (clone wars aired on Cartoon Network and really pushed the boundaries on what was allowed on kids tv), although after s1 it’s debatable, but I’d say a slim majority would say rebels is still more childish than clone wars
