Another day full of Rebels!! I'm so fucking pumped!
This was such a solid episode! Disguising as Storm Troopers?! Fucking awesome! Let's go!! And then there was a comment that was made during this episode that really made me think... "just like the old days."
That line through me for a loop. I just love the fact that we get to continuously see this little Rebel family grow. Kanan and Rex having some brotherly love and hatred for one another is hysterical!

The empire was inspired by the nazis so its totally accurate actually... vaders helmet and some of the stormtroopers helmets took inspiration from the german stahlhelms.. as well as some samurai too. Also German SA and SS soldiers in WW1 and 2 were called stormtroopers, thats where they got their name from in starwars!

He mostly saw clones he trusted and might have thought of as friend turn on him and try and kill him hunting him like an animal. All before knowing of the control chip, so that distrust is valid in his case. Hell I believe in an earlier episode they even mention how he is skeptical that the control chips even existed. From his perspective the clones betrayed him destroying all he knew then years later the few clones left claimed to be mind controlled 14:00 and oh yes the orc’s way of stealth "Only two things see Krod: dead things and things that know better than to admit it."

Kanen doesn't trust clones because he was there for order 66 and saw his master die. You will eventually see this happen in star wars cannon (one of the other animated series), but this has been mentioned before. Just keep in mind that Kanen changed his name for safety, his name before order 66 was "Caleb Dume", and his master's name was "Depa Billaba". You've seen Depa Billaba in live action as a background Jedi in Episode 2 (arena scene where Obi/ani/padme escape), Clone Wars TV show, and you will see her in other scenes. Its not spoiler information to look up what Depa Billaba looks like.
