You can't describe or portray Jinx like any other character in anything. Once she becomes Jinx, she's Jinx and there's no "redemption" besides her doing what she wants and being who she wants to be, regardless of how she seems crazy or in need of help or healing. I understand how you could want her to face her demons and move past them, but it's more fun to see the badass she becomes when she's Jinx rather than Powder. She doesn't need diagnosed, she just wants to feel important to someone.

2025-08-15 21:35:15 +0000 UTCSilco was right about Vi not accepting Jinx, at least at this stage in the series. Vi never would've accepted Jinx as she was. Jinx is Jinx, NOT Powder. ETA: she accidentally killed Silco and did NOT "set herself free"??? Vi was the one actively emotionally hurting her and triggering her in that scene, whereas Silco was trying to stop Vi from further triggering Jinx and setting her off. Silco was a flawed person and a brilliant villain, but he truly did love Jinx as his daughter and she truly loved him as her father. Silco was the ONLY person to accept Jinx completely. Vi was asking her to change and be Powder again, as if altering her entire already fractured identity would be a good thing lmao

2025-04-18 00:00:11 +0000 UTCHonestly man, you gotta just rewatch on your own time, maybe with your wife if she hasn't seen it. You will just pick up on more and more details as you rewatch. As with all animation, nothing can be on accident as everything is drawn with intent and this show even more than others encapsulates that, my favorite example is Viktor with the toy boat as a child. He falls when trying to catch it, then as an adult after the leg transformation, he outruns the boat in the background.

2025-04-07 23:45:28 +0000 UTCdamn, I didnt notice this when I first watched the show, but when Jayce "interrupted" Viktor, it was a mirror imagine of exactly what had happened when Viktor walked in on Jayce in the beginning of the season! also, in the last episode when Viktor is coming back from the undercity and tells Jayce that Singe told him "nature is resistant to such tampering", and in the background it shows the people of Zaun revolting at the bridge blockade. super cool juxtaposition of how the conflict between upper and lower is unfolding, and how "nature" (the people) will resist! writing is next level for this show. like Alex said, other writers really need to study this shit haha hopefully this and ATLA can open peoples eyes to the world of amazing animated shows 🙌🙌

I felt so sorry for her because I feel like she had the most traumatic story in Arcane (arguably Vi's was worse but in case of what we've seen it's probably Jinx). But it just kept getting worse and worse and worse. By the end of this episode I was just broken... This show has levels man, its fucking ridiculous. Such a good show...

Yes, Jinx is messed up and everything, but if you really look at it, the ONLY person truly accepting Jinx for who she is, is Silco. Like he said, to him she was perfect, because he didn't want to change who she was. And Vi can say what she wants, but she does and she would have in my opinion if Jinx had gone with her.

You miss a lot of the intricacies on the first watch and season two is also complex as fuck, so if you have the time, I really think you'd be doing yourself a favor by watching it once more 😊 No matter what, I'm really looking forward to your reaction to season two - you're not ready! 😅

He was goin to shoot vi and jinx reacted out of instinct and shot him... by the way s2 will be insane aswell. Idk which season is better but they both had their strenghs
