2025-10-26 21:49:30 +0000 UTCI remember seeing this in theaters and thinking that this movie hit differently, I was actually really sad when Rapunzel thought Eugene died. Not to mention the gaslighting Gothel did was insane, but honestly super well done in terms of realistic indoctrination.

2025-04-06 21:15:25 +0000 UTCI would also like to add that her mother drank the sun flower while pregnant so the magic transferred into Rapunzel and became apart of her, it was never just her hair alone that was magical. So the tear from her is actually more powerful, that's why it saved Flynn's life and why Gothel only became younger looking but could never survive and would die without the sun flowers magic. She only got a boost when they sang together but she never become forever young, if that makes sense. This movie is so deep and that's why this is forever the best Disney movie.

The way she puts every person in the light and gives them a moment to shine. She befriended Maximus by acknowledging his hard work and feelings. She listened with honest interest to the dream of every person in the Snugly Duckling. Not because it’s nice or polite, she actually cares.

She also calls her “flower” so goes to show that Mother Gothel only truly saw the flower and not Rapunzel at all
