First Episode and Last Episode
Added 2025-03-23 05:05:38 +0000 UTCI have been really wanting to make a video for the YouTube channel where I watch the first episode and then the last episode. Totally inspired by Dylan is in Trouble! Brilliant idea and I've wanted to try it for so long but haven't because I didn't want to bite anyone's style too hard.
Haven't stopped thinking about it though. I thought it would be really funny and entertaining to watch the first and last episode of Supernatural.

You could maybe try this with shows that you’ve already seen and compare the differences between the episodes or something like that but if you plan to do this with shows you haven’t seen then probably pass.

I always didnt like dylans videos because I think its stupid to just skip the majority of a show. There is so much context in other episodes sometimes crucial to REALLY understand a shows finale.

Have a fan pick a later episode for you to watch. One that doesn't spoil the whole show, but does slam you with how different the show becomes.

Things like friends or how I met your mother or really old TV shows. Little House on the prairie or Bewitched things like that. But classic truly good TV shows like Lost, Alias, Supernatural even The 100... Would be a waste of potential future projects that have a lot of invested viewers.

Honestly I have only managed to get through less than half of it (Season 4 or 5) due to burnout but one day I plan to finish it! Would be cool to watch it with you! I suggest first and last of seasons not series that way you have a little more context for each season's theme for any show with multiple seasons.

I think they love the shows enough tho that they still watch them because it's prolly all they will get from the reactor in regards to that show.

But in my mind it would be a shame because its worth watching the character progression and plot of the show. There are lots of good episodes in each season of Supernatural but some "filler" episodes. Also I think if you watch the first episode of season 1 to then season 15 episode 20 than you would be missing a lot... Around 15 seasons.

Watching the last episode out of nowhere would just make it incomprehensible. It might be fun for a sitcom or something with no continuity, but imagine doing that with something like Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad. The last episode would just be incomprehensible.

There's no WAY you can have anything useful to say by only watching the first and last episode. All the commentary is just going to be tarnished by you only have a tiny bit of context.
