I'm on Cecil's side 100%. Cecil's contingencies and paranoia are completely valid and understandable given the circumstances, especially since Mark has been unpredictable and vengeful as of late. Batman has contingencies for all the members of the Justice League. And after what Cecil's been through, I don't blame him for what he did to Mark. Is that so say it was the most morally sound call? No. But Mark needs to get his head out of his ass and open his eyes to the bigger picture– Cecil had the same viewpoint in the past, but with a threat as big as the Viltrumites on the horizon, he needs to utilize every option he has, and that includes "reforming" or "fixing" criminals for their unique talents. I have a lot of empathy for Cecil– he's my favorite character on the show, and I love Walton Goggins, so I may be a bit biased. But to me, Mark is being unreasonable and petty. He's also being a huge hypocrite. According to Mark's arguments, he should be in prison for killing somebody. His dad shouldn't be given a second chance, either, but Mark has openly stated his "Dad has changed." Mark is a self-righteous hypocrite. You can be the good guy, or you can be the guy that saves the world. You cant be both. Hope Mark learns that eventually.

Entorri

Mark is a hypocrite because his dad murdered hundreds, if not thousands of people on Earth, yet thinks Nolan can be a good guy again. But God forbid anybody else to try and right their wrongs.

Dinkster

How is mark a hypocrite though? I don’t understand that. Obviously he still loves his father, But what he did on Thraxa was for Thraxans and his brother. His father is currently in prison. and he didn’t murder anyone 🤷🏾‍♂️

JoZé

By ur logic serial killer Natasha romanoff aka the Russian assassin black widow shouldn’t have gotten to the chance to be redeemed and apart of society

Marquis keel

Cecil is a correct lol

Melki

Exactly

Melki

Real

Melki

Bad people can go to jail but taking them to jail won’t make them change their bad intentions all the time. Taking theirs bad people and teaching them to be good people and change their ways is a very good decision. Especially if at the end of the day they are helping out to now protect people, that’s all that matters. Cecil is absolutely correct lol. I see both sides tho but I agree mostly with Cecil. It also makes sense that he put in that chip in Marks head bc Cecil literally lived through Marks father killing his entire Superhero Team and million of people in the city of Chicago. Mark possess that same strength and yes Cecil does believe that mark will never turn into his father but it makes seem for him to have a pro-caution for Mark just in case he ever goes rogue and becomes his father. Cecil did go a bit to overboard when he was holding onto the button in Guardians HQ and having the ear piece be on for too long but every action he does makes sense lol. Mind you that in all this mark is a hypocrite helping his dad and forgiving him lol

Melki

Bc people change and mark is a hypocrite in all this lmao. Idk how you don’t see it

Melki

If villains are "rehabilitated" then what's to stop the next murderer from going all out because they KNOW that if they're caught they can just go back to killing buy for the other side now. There will be no more fear of being caught. These villains can do whatever they want now

Ayy_Dee

chill dude, people have different opinions. I see both sides, it!s not like Cecil's doing the things you said. DA Sinclair is far from being free and Darkwing is on the Guardians so he can be closely watched by the GDA.

David Ivaškovič

(In my opinion) you can see he's siding with his father when he first found his dad's books and also when he was talking to Oliver about his suit.

Berri

People need to relax and accept that the show is complicated, and each character has valid reasons for the choices they make. Why take sides or teams when clearly whats meant to happen is cohesion between all of the characters? All im saying is let the season play out before getting all riled up over nothing.

MaulTheObese

Bro team mark 100%, idk how u guys are on Cecil’s side. I can’t wait to see mark not holding back anymore

Benjamin Martin

Siding with Cecil is stupid, I can't believe the logic you guys are using. Serial killers deserve jail. Yes rehabilitation is good, that doesn't mean freeing them and encouraging them to go out and be violent again. The logic some of you are running with is actually wild.

Nick Luce

If you don't want to see Mark get his ass kicked, you're not going to enjoy any of this show. I also don't think wanting serial killers to go to jail is him being "inflexible"

Nick Luce

Yeah, at the very beginning of their conversation Cecil says, how would darkwing redeem himself sitting in his cell, or something to that effect. It’s towards the end of episode 1

SkywalkerBoy

it seems like that would be confusing especially with him going through this whole moral dilemma with killing, i’m glad they didn’t do that

Playboii Kota

Team Cecil

Marquis keel

I have been growing very frustrated with this show. Mark gets his ass beat and is entirely inflexible with his view points. It's felt like the same exact show every episode for a while and the first 3 episodes of this season have not helped in that regard. Add on the fact that a certain someone does not get their ass kicked and they probably should, it's annoying to see Mark still struggle so hard

Ryan Drescher

yeah he seemed provocative and demanding when he could have done a better job expressing himself with mark

Kuraudio

Mark is the asshole in this, only seeing things from his perspective

Hungryninja

Did he get the chance to tell him tho?

Hungryninja

BE A FUCKING MAN as he picks up his princess mug had me DYING

Kuraudio

I agree with Cecil, not because of how he handled the situation, but because of his ideology. I do agree that people can change, mark himself said that, and because of that people have a right to a shot at redemption.

SkywalkerBoy

I’m 100 percent with Cecil but he could’ve handled it better. Still mark was out of control and definitely needs some kind of contingency plan.

Aarron Denton

Honestly I can't understand how many people seem to side with Cecil. Sure Mark was being a hypocrite but if Cecil, who is much older and "wiser" than Mark, would have sat down and explained his viewpoint better and maybe not start by calling the guy who literally attacked Mark's friends a genius, it all could have been avoided. Instead Cecil decided to escalate the situation by bringing the object of Mark's anger in front of him like a shield and then reveal that he has a "bomb" in Mark's head. Cecil might not be wrong in the core issue but he is 100 % to blame for how things unfolded.

Something Cool

For the time being, I’m on Cecil’s side only because Mark should of at least listen to him, & have a conversation about it instead of ignoring everything he’s trying to say. Especially when Cecil is trying to be on his side.

Undead Hope

Hot take, but I’m team Cecil atm. I like Mark a lot, but he is low key acting like a viltrumite. It’s their way or the highway @46:55 when the chiefs lose

Charlie Fontana

Ive seen this argument made before as there are parts mark is hypocritical but there's no point where he says he wants to bring his dad back and the only reason he helped nolan on thraxa was to save the innocents, if I missed something please let me know but I can't remember a moment where mark is cool with his dad

Riley Wilkin

This had me laughing 😆

Rhys Nicoll

Yeah and I don’t get how half the guardians were on Marks side like they don’t see how childish and reckless he’s behaving

Lukas Weimar

Mark is sorta a hypocrite, he is upset that Cecil is working with fixed criminals yet is totally fine bringing back his father? One of the most powerful beings in the galaxy who killed thousands and nearly killed mark himself?

Michael

Yeah good point, I enjoy people like Maul and Omniman, I guess I’m just frustrated that mark is so emotional and hypocritical

Lukas Weimar

How do you have Maul as your pfp? Some people enjoy bad guys' stories.

Alex

I love that the thing that Alex is most hyped for is Mark & Eve getting together. So wholesome honestly

Austin

That yell at the end was absolutely glorious! 🤣🤣

Abraham Meneses

mark at any point could have killed Cecil especially when he was choking him but he chose not to. if you can’t trust me don’t have me on your team, but you can’t control me

Anthony Ramsey

"Be a f man Mark" and sipping from cup with princess lool

Abuzz Klanica

he’s definitely not. implanted the weapon inside of Marks head without his knowledge, kept Sinclair alive who almost killed Marks friend & never made Mark aware. Spies on his family every day & he’s a control freak

Anthony Ramsey

i rlly hope Alex uploades the third episode before my subscription ends, cuz it ain't looking good for me ;-;

xSimplyBlu

4:35 I know exactly where you were looking at Alex…I know that smile😂😂

Oliver

Not completely there are certain lines that should NEVER be crossed but yes for the most part. Cecil is doing his job and protecting the world.

Michael Seiber

I am glad how they changed that in the show. In the comics Mark was cheating on Amber🙄

Oliver

also you fully riding mark truly saddens me, your opinions are so dogshit lmaoo

Berri

100% on Cecil's side mark is so annoying in these few episodes it honestly makes every Mark scene so much less enjoyable.

Berri

Mark is clearly the bad guy here, how are you on his side?

Lukas Weimar

I really don’t like the conflict of this episode. Mark is way more reasonable than the way he is acting this season and Cecil is literally right and the mark we know would know that. Mark is acting childish and with his ability that is so dangerous Cecil is right to react defensively.

MyRottenSold1er

To answer the question of how much money Cecil spends on teleporting, in the S3 teaser, he mentions that each teleportation costs more than the gross economic output of Liechtenstein, a small country in Europe. That number came from the inflation from the comics. In the comics, it costs him 5 million in tax payers money to teleport each time

Cole Romero

Been waiting for this

Too Original

Nah he went overboard could have had a simple convo but had to get the robots involved

C. J. Ramirez

Invincible is terrifying when he wants to be!

Jack

I agree, hate to have to root against mark though

Lukas Weimar

Cecil is completely justified with his actions!

Jack

Been refreshing every hour for this

Alex Powers

Let’s gooooooo
