The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (FULL MOVIE REACTION)

Hey guys!

Ok, so this movie ain't nearly as charming as the first one, but guess what? It still pretty FUCKING BADASS! It still pulls you in, like a girl that wants to have your baby... lol sorry about that one.

Now, let’s talk about the little fuckers playing Peter, Edmund, Susan, and Lucy. Holy shit, these kids are good. They make you wanna cry, laugh, and then dive into their world to be honest, I wish I was their friend!!! They’re the kind of characters that make you wish you were one of them – like, who the hell wouldn’t want to be on a magical adventure with their siblings, fighting evil and hanging out with a giant lion? It’s like, goddamn, what are we doing with our lives?

Aslan doesn’t get much screen time, but that lion doesn’t need much. When he’s on screen, you just sit there like, “Fuck me, I’d follow this talking lion into battle, or just to a goddamn grocery store. He’s that badass.” And Lucy? Jesus, Lucy is so fucking cute!

The best part, though... battle scenes! SO FUCKING GOOD! This movie doesn’t just show violence you actually seem to feel it.

But hold on a second, there’s a fucking fly in the ointment. Someone decided to throw in this cringe-worthy, unnecessary romance subplot. Like, no one asked for that shit. Who cares about these kids’ awkward teen feelings when there are epic battles to be had? And then – oh, sweet baby Jesus – they throw in a ridiculous, melodramatic song at the climax. Who the hell thought this was a good idea? That's beside the point.

But whatever. Despite that garbage, this movie is still a hell of a good time! Again, sorry for the book. I had a lot on my mind lol.

Love you guys,

Alex

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (FULL MOVIE REACTION)

Comments

I'm bawling my eyes out. The song at the end (The Call by Regina Skeptor) is what I listened to on repeat after my dad died in 2009. These films and books have a special place in my heart. Might reread the books.

Victoria

Omg I’m about to watch my first full length movie with you eek! Love from England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 also can’t wait to see what you think of the little shit on Voyage of the dawn treader you’ll recognise him from the maze runner

Victoria

Seeing that you liked these movies, I cannot wait for you to watch the Lord of Rings trilogy. It is a fantastic world, and I guarantee you will cry at least 3 times

Jacob Fetter

the third one might be the weakest of the trilogy, but definitely still worth a watch! especially now that edmund is your favourite! also u might recognize a new actor with strong brows in the third one!

oryanz

I never saw the narnia movies, I thought the first one was way better ! Anyone else ??

Jamie Camilleri

Alex can you please turn your mic volume down!! I needed my volume all the way up to hear the movie, but with that than your lovely jokes and commentary as so extremely loud.

NicTheLitch

I was I Belfast recently and they have a park there dedicated to CS Lewis. It has statutes scattered throughout that feature characters from TLW&W. The statue of Aslan is particularly impressive. If you ever maje if there it's worth a visit.

Carrie Schwent

Voyage of the Dawn Treader is by far my favorite of the movies.

Therogueone2103

I had the biggest crush on Edmund in this😂

Jay_anansi

Ngl I love his reactions but this one was kinda annoying. Sometimes the over analyzing can take the wind out the sails. All love Alex.

Dony Acevedo

1:54:00 the police sirens 🚔🚨picked a great time to start today 😂 right after a murder

Brendan !!

The beach they walk out on at the very beginning is in New Zealand! 😊

Mason Allen

Movie 1 and 2 are absolute fire. Movie 3 however… well let’s just say it’s in narnia Also Narnia 1 & 2 were shot in New Zealand. 3rd one was in Australia & New Zealand. Last note, cmon u gotta know that Aslan is Liam Neeson

Charlie Fontana

The books were great I loved reading it as a child

Ryan Byrne

i wanna give you credit for the blow aslan bit. that was crack up

jamie minnell

Alex thought you might find it cool that the guy who wrote this C.S. Lewis was best friends with Tolkien who wrote lord of the rings and they were working on them at the same time. Lewis was an athiest and Tolkien a Catholic but got inspiration for the Christian themes in his work because of thier friendship. Maybe your bible readings will rub off on us heathens the same way. lol

Melody Netherton

Billy Russo

Jon hansen

Love that you have so much bad wipes of the dwarf, it's the same actor of Prof. Flitwick and the Goblin who helped Harry & Co. to get into Gringotts 😁

Astoria

Indeed i was half way your a legend

tomasz

you must not have watched the entire video because I 1000% noticed!

Alex Hefner

You should absolutely read the books! There’s definitely a difference, but I love both the books and the movies.

Shandilynn Thomas

There was a ton of criticism of this movie. Kind of soured the reaction a little. Ah, well!

Diana

Fireworks existed for centuries. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that kingdoms, including mythological ones, would have some on hand for celebrations or royal announcements.

Diana

Soon we will have best movie reaction

Joovain

It’s Fucking russoooooooooo ahh

Goombys

You didnt see that is Billy Russo Alex ?

tomasz

Great beginning 😂😂😂😂

Isaiah Bradford

Hopefully you will finish off the series with Narnia 3

Daniel Nordbø

Crap it is

Lewis Ramos

🤯WTF That's Billy Russo!?!

Chaplain TIG

They shot Narnia 2 is the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Lithuania. as well as some locations in Austria and Croatia! I find that awesome. the budget was $180 million for the first narnia, $225 million for the second and $140 - $155 million for the third. the first narnia made $745 million in the box office worldwide, the second made $418 million worldwide and the third made $100 million approx. worldwide!

Lewis Herriett

Or maybe people just have different tastes in movies. Shocking I know.

Heida

I WAS JUST TALKING ABOUT THIS FILM!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! BEST OF THE TRILOGY!

Lewis Herriett

All of your comments about the lady centaurs... Alex... that's a horse's ass lol and I know I'm gonna get hate for this, but it's a 2 in 1, a mode of transportation and a dishwasher.🤣🤣

Michael Shelton

Same. My 15 year old self had a crush on all three of them: Caspian, Peter and Edmund 😂

Heida

I agree that overall the first one is better but I love this one too. My 12 year old self had such a crush on William Moseley (Peter) in the first one, and in this one my 15 year old self was crushing on William, Skandar Keynes (Edmund) AND Ben Barnes (Caspian). Today I am 32 and still crushing on all of them (although there are very few recent photos of Skandar). I also don't know if it's an unpopular opinion or not but I think Ben is the perfect Caspian, in spite of them aging him a lot from the books. You might have seen Ben in Dorian Gray, Seventh Son, Westworld, The Punisher or Shadow and Bone. Another film of his I recommend is Stardust, though he only has a minor role. But, like I said, Caspian was younger in the book, about 13 to be exact, the same age as Susan. But he looks significantly older than her in the film because the actors are 7 years apart. Luckily Anna Popplewell, Susan's actress, was older than 13 (19 or so) so don't worry! And although they were fine for each other age wise (that is, if you don't count the fact that MENTALLY Susan is a 1000 years older), the Susan and Caspian romance was not a thing in the book AT ALL and confused many viewers who had read them. I assume the reason they added it into the film was because Hollywood can't possibly have a story without any romance of any kind, and ultimately it didn't really hurt the plot (plus my teenage self ate it all up and it was like my own fan-fiction story honestly), but still very unnecessary. But I will NOT stand for the slander of the masterpiece that is The Call by Regina Spektor! Another good song that played just after that is This Is Home by Christian band Switchfoot, which you will 100% know if you listen to ANY Christian music 😉 The third film is not as good as the other two but still entertaining imo. It's just unfortunate they never finished the franchise while the kids were still young enough. They were competing with bigger franchises like Harry Potter and The Hunger Games but they were gonna adapt The Magician's Nephew, the first book of the series, until Walden Media lost its rights to the franchise in 2011. The Mark Gordon Company retained the rights instead to adapt the next book in the franchise, The Silver Chair. But for some reason that never happened, and in 2018, Netflix acquired the rights to develop their own Narnia reboot. In 2023 it was announced that Greta Gerwig was set to direct at least two of the novels for Netflix (whether it's two of these remade or any of the others I don't know). Fun fact: J.K. Rowling has said she was influenced by Narnia and whether it was on purpose or not, each of the Pevensie children represent each of the houses in Hogwarts. Peter = Gryffindor: ❤️🦁: Brave, loyal, honourable, chivalrous, a natural fighter & leader and protects his family at all costs but is impulsive and proud. Edmund = Slytherin 💚🐍: Ambitious, resourceful and falls into temptation to gain power & recognition. Susan = Ravenclaw 💙🦅: Logical, wise, intelligent, witty, caring and often the voice of reason. She also has a bit of Slytherin in her: Ambitious and resourceful. Lucy = Hufflepuff 💛 🦡: Kind, helpful, selfless, forgives easily and treats everyone as equals. She also has a bit of Gryffindor in her: Brave and loyal. Caspian could be either Gryffindor ❤️🦁 or Hufflepuff 💛 🦡 I guess the reason he and Peter butt heads so much is because they are a lot more alike than they are willing to admit. And Douglas Gresham, C.S. Lewis' stepson and heir is the dude you hear announce the birth of Miraz's son.

Heida

Love the reaction! I have to admit the romantic subplot got me. I had a HUGE crush on prince Caspian as a teen and Ben Barnes is still a VERY pretty man. Just sayin...

Melody Netherton

You should definitely read the books. They are very easy reading. The first one is the best because it followed the book more closely. This one was harder to turn into a movie because Lewis' writing was not detailed. His writing style is very vague. He'll write that a battle happened here and there but he doesn't have descriptions, details about which characters did what. I think that's why they didn't finish the other books either. Turning his books into movies is a challenge that I guess, the last team weren't too good at. This one was ok, it could've been better but I think they really destroyed The Dawn Treader. I hear they are working on a TV show though. I'm looking forward to that! I will miss the kids here but I hope they also pick kids who can act for the show.

Seelia

thats why i always resub... Anal? lololololololololol

Mad Lad Wizard

Today we are getting best movie of all time reaction (Suicide Squad 2016)

Joovain

Alex has never heard of codpiece and it shows XD Also, he should spend some time watching some Shadiversity videos. Given how much he enjoyed the medieval combat aspect of this movie, I think he would enjoy the vast majority of his videos.

DarnedStingray8

Train to busan was way better than this shit he has some weird fans that for sure .

Jordan Zarate

It was the most well known and mainstream out of all the other choices.

Diana

What was the opening statement?? Sounded kind of disturbing and illegal, bro. Then again that’s par for the course, heh

Diana

If it’s black fight back, if it’s brown stay down, and if it’s white goodnight. That’s what you do for bears my man

Jared Johnston

Yes!!!! Been waiting since you posted LW&W! Loved these movies since I was a kid! Still watch them to this day! You don't have to do the third one if you don't want to cause it's not NEARLY as good as the two before, but I won't be mad if you do😁

Sarah Howard

Great movie and if you haven't seen it you should give rango a watch it's johnny depp and is an amazing movie

colton Lem
