Some people prefer to follow the plot rather than just watching the visuals. Subtitles can help catch details and dialogue that might otherwise be missed. They’re also useful when background noise or commentary overlaps with key moments, ensuring we can understand what’s being said, especially if we haven't seen the movie before. I have watched shows and movies all the way through and cannot count the amount of times I miss heard something or missed something that would have changed the whole perspective of it all.

2025-01-12 23:12:46 +0000 UTCI wouldn’t say that… I know someone who watched dubbed cause they don’t read fast and would miss stuff cause they couldn’t just watch it, they were trying to keep up with reading the subtitles. So in that instance, they were losing the experience cause of having to rewind for stuff they missed and it took them out of it.
