2025-01-10 20:10:17 +0000 UTCI love this episode for the last scene which also shows how powerful Azula actually is, surviving and escaping a blast from ALL 4 elements, something at that time you'd never see. Fire, Air, Water, even Toph made a stream of earth/dust to attack which is pretty unusual for that bending.

(: Okay, so—the fighting styles/design for each type of bender is actually based on various Chinese martial arts that have characteristics relating to the four elements! Airbending: (Inspired by Baguazhang) characterized by fluid circular movements and evasive techniques. Waterbending: (Inspired by Tai Chi) emphasizing soft, flowing movements and adaptability to the opponent. Earthbending: (Inspired by Hung Gar Kung Fu) utilizing grounded stances and powerful movements and defensive techniques. Firebending: (Inspired by Northern Shaolin) with quick, aggressive strikes and focused power. Not sure if you saw my comment about this already (it was an older post) but yeah! It devalues the reaction and takes away from the surprise of future parts. Like talking about how different characters will do certain things even though he hasn’t seen that part yet.

It’s actually the opposite she is very cold and detached her drive is more of a manic obsession with power. Zuko’s fire is fueled by his anger, mostly his anger at his inability to get his father‘s love I think it’s the next episode that really talks about Azula‘s abilities so hopefully we’ll see that soon.

I really wish that he could just put all of them out all at once cause I guarantee you he didn’t pause between all these episodes. He's just a means to an end to achieve their goal, so they don't realize how wrong what they're doing is. And to Toph, she's really a badass, but the problem she has at the beginning is that she thinks she doesn't have to help and doing everything on her own is actually quite destructive in a team. That's something she learns over the course of the series. She has decided to help Aang and be part of the team. Even if Katara overreacts, she has a point, in order for them all to get out of the situation alive and for them to win in the end, everyone has to play their part. They can only win as a team and they have to act accordingly in everyday situations.

If anyone messes with Appa Aang will go off on them he did it with Sokka in season 1. Appa is the last of Aang's culture along with Momo.

Also, the reason why Azula's fire is blue is cause she creates it from pure aggression, so it burns way hotter than everyone elses, making it blue. Or so I've been told.
