THIS. BROKE. ME.

Avatar: The Last Airbender | Book 2 | Episode 7 - "Zuko Alone" (FULL EPISODE REACTION)

I think the earth village had every right to be fearful and angry towards zuko. As far as they know, he’s the current heir to the fire nation and the (indirect) reason for all of their past and future suffering. They have no clue about his past and current turmoil

Mary Heartlein

Holy shit that’s the pregnant woman from the serpant pass

Oliver

Ozai isn’t a dumbass. He’s just insane.

Frost

'Oh god.. you can't murder a pregnant woman for a steak' lmao

Tyleror

True

Daisy Azuras

It doesn't help that Zuko said he was the son of the fire lord either.

Red powers

Zuko's entire arc is one of, if not the greatest of any animated character in TV shows. He's my second favorite character in this show, closely following behind Toph

Jonah McDaniel

I wish he would just start pausing instead of talking over the show 😭😭💀

renuzui

Lol Alex talking through important dialog to do with zukos mom uncle iroh and Azula 😂

Zack Sutton

You can’t exactly blame those townspeople for turning on Zuko so quickly. Especially that family and the boy for saying he hates him. Zuko just showed that he is a firebender. And not only that, but he admitted to being the son of the literal Fire Lord. The very man directly responsible for continuing to wage the Fire Nation’s war against the rest of the world. Plus, think about what that family Zuko was with has just been through. In that boy’s eyes, Zuko is partly to blame for his father and brother being gone.

renuzui

You should delete this

Dallon Slaughter

I think if Zuko had simply revealed he was a firebender they might’ve given him a pass, but knowing that he’s the son of the Firelord who’s waging war against them and murdering their loved ones is a bridge too far even for the kindest people.

Halima

Azula was a prodigy even as a child. Firelord Ozai likely kept her close so he’d be able to use her as a weapon in the future which is probably why she’s fucked up.

Halima

Zuko’s journey is the most complicated and interesting one of the series. Aang is my favorite character (I’m a sucker for the lead heroes), but Zuko is amazing. You can’t be too hard on the villagers. The Fire Nation has been waging war on everyone for a hundred years. All of these people only know the Fire Nation to be violent aggressors and have lost friends and family to the war.

Walter

Yeah Zuko’s entire backstory is tragic with many hidden details about his mother which well get to after you finish the show. Their is basically a side story comic about his mother and what happened but don’t read it until you finish the show

Nightmareman99

Your feelings towards the fire nation at the end of this video is the exact reason why the whole town turned on Zuko as soon as they found out, he was fire nation they’ve been hurt by the fire nation so much and so often that they cannot trust even a kind fire nation Person they reject anyone that’s fire nation, out of prejudice towards people that have been hurting them for so long over 100 years now they’ve been persecuted by the fire nation

Daisy Azuras

You need to learn not to talk through some of the most dramatic and important moments instead pay attention to what’s happening in the show. If you have to pause the show and talk or wait until the scenes are concluded and some goofy scene starts up that it doesn’t have any gravitas, but you’re missing out on a lot of really important stuff when you talk through these really dramatic moments this episode is really good if you actually sit and watch it

Daisy Azuras

also i know there are books that tell more storis after this show. :)

Angel

I like the live action show it like a different world of course it not like the cartoon. the movie is bad and lastly Korra is great show also. love your reaction and i hope you continue to have a great day.

Angel

I'm telling ya man. Zuko is one of my favorite characters among all forms of media.

ryanrb

Respect that

Joovain

After you finish the show, there's actually an official comic series that explains the events after it. It's quite good honestly. It goes much more in depth into Zuko's moms backstory and everything if you're curious. Cause sadly the show doesn't go that deep into it.

Ben Tuttle

"I think zuko would make a great teacher" 👀

Murf

this episode has so many layers and has so much pay off later on. it showing the fire nation is bad and showing zuko the harm his people have caused while also showing that there's even bad ppl in the nations that are considered good. also showing that zuko is a fighter and continuing to show that he may not be the best bender but that's not going to stop him. i could go on forever about this episode it's so good.

ariel

Well Azula was treated different than Zuko from their father..Azula was trained more to be a weapon that's why Ozai "LOVES" her more which I use the term "Love" loosely you'll see it in season 3. But their hatred towards Zuko is understandable he's from the Fire Nation and he's the son of a man that has kept this war going. And the youngest son lost his brother to the fire Nation I can see why they dislike Zuko.

Red powers

I stand by that last part.

Chess Red Eagle

I’ve been waiting for this episode

Charles Walker

But you also said "maybe even the entire Avatar franchise"

Joovain

I missed that completely somehow.

Joovain

I mean that's exactly what I said. It's "one of the best episodes".

Chess Red Eagle

Its really really good but the best of the entire series no, but 1000% its one of the best episodes of this series.

Joovain

One of the best episodes of the entire series, maybe even the entire Avatar franchise.
