2025-08-14 12:45:14 +0000 UTCfrom an opposites attract perspective I understood the zutara ship, but it’s not like a ballerina and a punk metal kid. It’s like if a jewish girl married hitler’s son….? (it’s not as crazy of a parallel, Ozai is literally mass-colonizing and targeting specific groups of people to wipe out: yes Sozen was the one who wiped out the air nation, but Ozai gave some pretty similar orders himself). Now granted, katara and zuko ending up together would make for an interesting story! But I think too much has happened to their cultures for it to work out within their lifetimes. Like their ancestors getting together would make more sense because there would be enough time between the interwoven struggles their nations faced. As for maturity levels, that’s an argument I do get especially for Book 1.

2024-12-15 08:01:38 +0000 UTCThis is just to clear up the ages. Aang is 12, Katara is 14, and Sokka and Zuko are 16. When Zuko got burned he was 13/14. I think aang’s crush on Katara is super cute and I love their relationship. But I like it in a friend sense just because 12 and 14 are so different for me and they’re at different maturity levels. But romantically it’s very cute first love vibes that I like.
