Another week of Avatar!!! This episode was absolutely nuts! Well, to be honest, I feel like it didn't add too much to the overall story and seemed liked a little bit of a side quest episode, but it was entertaining AS HELL!
Fucking wacked out dude looking like he drank bleach hahahahah! And actually this episode felt a little Monty Python-ish.

As well as the scene where Iroh is captured is done better imo actually giving a connection to the earth kingdom soldiers and what Iroh did in the past. But yeah nearly everything else they added or took away was shit. Like I said Iroh and Zuko’s actors are the best part of the show but they can’t carry it by themselves

If they had stuck to the original story and allowed the actors to properly represent those characters it could have been good. They did uncle iroh especially dirty.

Like at least one of aang’s friends from 100years ago are still alive, but bumi has seen so much war and become king, which is why it’s great he helps aang learn that he can’t rely on thinking like an airbender because that’s not his only element anymore. But just seeing how young aang is and how old bumi is it just breaks my heart. Bumi probably thought aang was dead or never coming back for the past 100 years

The live action series is pretty mid Zuko and iroh’s actors are great but the pacing is really off they try to cram 3-4 story arcs into one episode to save time and it just doesn’t work. Also some of the things they changed ruined a lot of the character development and plots that show up in book 3

But I first saw this series when it dropped on Netflix and I accidentally ended up binging it. It was easy enough to keep track of who was who and what was what without the recap. And there was a point I started avoiding the recaps entirely because the subject matter they covered ended up spoiling the content of the episode. "Oh, we're going to see THIS certain character again, because..."
