Avatar: The Last Airbender | Book 1 | Episode 4 - "The Warriors of Kyoshi" (FULL EPISDOE REACTION)

Hey guys!

I can't believe those 4 episodes went THAT fucking fast! I want moreeeeee!!! Anyway, I've noticed something interesting already. I know people say you shouldn't compare shows, yada yada yada. OH WELL!!! I'M GONNA DO IT!!

I know there are A LOT more episodes of Clone Wars than there are of Avatar: The Last Airbender. I also know that I've only seen 4 episodes. BUTTTT I think the fact that there are so few episodes of this show mean that they DON'T MISS!!!

Each episode has been PHENOMENAL! And, don't get me wrong, there are a ton of incredible Clone Wars episodes. That being said, there are also a lot of shit ones too.

I don't foresee there being ANY shit episodes of this show. Who knows though? I've been wrong before!

Anyway, I'm rambling. I am thoroughly impressed and we've only seen 4 EPISODES?!?!?

Love you all so much,

Alex

Again shows how superficial you are

Skyde

We need Samurai Jack after this

RNikolow

see I was thinking that, but thought dinos were a bit too far. They almost looked like they were fused with komodo dragons or monitor lizards.

Dean Tarrin

hope you are finally loved someday Skyde

Banana Hammocks

Buddy it’s not that deep. Early clone wars was ass

hello

Tbh some of the best shows out there happen to be animated lol

renuzui

@ Skyde - Both shows are great in their own ways lol.

renuzui

Excited to go on this journey with you it's hilarious how you're comparing it to clone wars when you don't even know... Lol I watch this back in 2009 and looks like I forgotten a lot I don't remember this episode.

Eric & Erika

Alex, I need more. Yesterday.

Isaac_

love that friends reference alex, unagi

iron pirate76

Wouldn't be surprising for a last shitbender fan

Skyde

Oliver 10 years old?

Skyde

You're making your poor taste obvious.

Skyde

If the only way you can enjoy shows or movies is with constant action and the most obvious plot points then sure. If you know how to appreciate deeper concepts and lore, also known as not being stupid, you will be able to enjoy it.

Skyde

Dude chill out it’s not that deep, also your wrong clone wars early seasons are HOT ASS

hello

Didn’t really want to see another cartoon but after seeing this first few episode this shit is actually entertaining. Nobody can ever convince me early seasons clone wars is good. ITS JUST NOT

hello

They didn't get rid of it, it just wasnt as overt as it is in the show. And his sexism was a minor point in just 2 of the 61 episodes. It was hardly a defining characteristic of him.

Chess Red Eagle

It's actually really funny you mention Clone Wars because Dave Filoni, the creator of the clone wars show, was a writer and director of various episodes of Avatar Book One.

Rhinos + Triceratops

Josh Bruner

Topi doing topi things. Being a miserable gooch licker.

Charles Walker

Go away topi

Charles Walker

The only thing Netflix did actually better was the zuko arc. The rest was terrible 😂

Oliver

Compare it to bad episodes from other shows… it’s not too bad, it just doesn’t really further the plot any. If you were unaware of how good the show was in it’s entirety, you’d probably think it was an okay episdoe

Jake Rush

…..no…I hate the divide 😅 I absolutely despise this episode 😂

Oliver

Womp womp Topi womp womp

Oliver

Not at all

Max M

Bet he will take that back with the „don’t miss episode“ after watching the great fucking ass divide 😂

Oliver

😅👌

Just some cliff notes going forward for fun/to keep your eye out: - With the heavy martial arts tradition in mind, most bender moves are based or inspired by the many styles that exist; bending isn't just random movements. - Elemental bending can come from both the inner self or external surroundings. Simple to Extreme examples (not all): Fire like Candles, Bonfires, or from the self; Earth like pebbles, entire slabs, and some times other earth materials; Water could be puddles, rivers, and even ocean waves; Air can be a breeze, a full air currant, or even your own breathe. - Almost all creatures in the world are two animals from our world combined together to make a whole new creature in their's: Flying Lemurs like Momo are lemurs and either bats or flying squirrels, Those penguins were in fact otter penguins, and their rhinos were combined with something else, can't remember. The point being, keep an eye out from different animal fusions.

Dean Tarrin

Atla sucks ass buddy

Skyde

Yes, clone wars is miles better

Skyde

also atlas quality soars WAYYYY over clone wars quality. i love clone wars but filoni does not deserve the credit youre giving for atlas spectacle. that comes from the writers not filoni

Banana Hammocks

yeah i just dont agree. A director of a tv show episode like this is no where near as important as a director of a movie or filonis role for the clone wars. he didnt do any writing for atla, in avatar he is helping make sure every person does their job, not many creative decisions. any coincidences are more just from the heroes arc from hamlet or just the common chosen one arcs, not a relation between clone wars and atla. dave filoni did 1% of the work on atla compared to what he did for clone wars, its just ignorant to assume any coorelation from that.

Banana Hammocks

Please do not compare clone wars and avatar, they are entirely different in every way

Michael

they dont really explain it the show but aang’s arrow tattoos are a symbol of mastery over both the spiritual and physical sides of air bending. aang is also the youngest to ever get his tattoos

booger

Sokka and Zuko are 15 (And the Kyoshi girl Sukki too I think) Katara is 14 Aang is 12 (or 112 xD)

schwarz

There is one episode that could be considered a "shit" episode. It's episode 11 of the first season and it's not even really "shit" as much as it's irrelevant to the story and the characters act a bit out of character.

Darek Travis

He’s Jesusing made me spew Pepsi out my nose 😂

Mad Lad Wizard

unless I'm remembering wrong there are only like 3 bad episodes, and 2 of them are at least a bit fun.

Jacob

You’re exactly right, the worst episode of avatar is still a relatively good episode

Jake Rush

Seeing how Alex reacted to Sokkas character development in this ep is the exact reason why Netflix getting rid of his sexism and douchebaggery in the live action remake was a bad move. He goes from being a douchebag to an amazing character which is amazing to watch

Josh

i cant wait for you to watch the whole show one of the only shows i can say ive watched and liked every single episode!

mongo

Funny fact btw, Dee Bradley Baker aka voice of all of the clones voices Appa and Momo.

Joovain

Tomorrow Ted, cant wait (hope you will also watch Ted 2 soon)

Joovain

I know people say season 1 is slow but to me personally it's just the season that just introduces you the world and their characters and I personally like that

Alex

There are definitely a few filler episodes in season 1 and 2, but overall it's mostly just awesome and is a show that gets better and better as it goes. Once you hit the end of season 2, you're entering nothing but fire (no pun intended, but also pun intended) for the rest of the show. And Legend of Korra (the sequel) is also phenomenal.

Matt McNeill

I will admit there are a few weak episodes in season 1 and maybe one or two weak episodes in season 2 but overall the vast majority of ATLA is insanely good.

Emily

I would say some my favorite animated show episodes ever are in Clone Wars but I would give ATLA a better average score. Like you say, it rarely miss.

Blutch

“He’s Jesusing” is crazy 😂

Matthew

Avatar really is a great show. Look at how Sokka realized he was wrong.

Brian Stanaland

The director of the clone wars worked on a lot of the ATLA episodes

Agus Mercado

That is exactly how Alex is doing this.

Joovain

WE NEED MORE ATLA ASAP hopefully it’s a weekly show he uploads and hopefully it’s a 4 ep minimum a week maybe more

BlondeBoyJacob

The fact u compared it to clone wars actually makes my point clearer. The creator of clone wars, Dave Filoni, worked on Avatar as a director . He really only worked on the first season, and he directed half of S1. George Lucas saw how good he was doing and asked him to work as a creator/producer for Clone Wars. So avatar and clone wars are closely linked in ways we can’t imagine
