Tales of the Jedi Ep. 4 - "The Sith Lord" (FULL EPISODE REACTION)

Hey guys,

My first thought about this episode is WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK!?!?!? How can they deliver this much heat and badass story-telling in 15 minutes or less?!

That is so impressive! The music in the episode is absolutely astonishingly beautiful and perfect!

Maybe I'm just riding the high, but this right here is one of the BEST episodes of any Star Wars show EVER! And, of course, take that with a grain of salt, because I haven't seen hardly any of the shows lol.

Those of you who HAVE seen all the shows, how do you feel about that statement I just made?

Anyway, I love you guys so much,

Alex

Comments

I'm loving your watch of this series, but my GOD you're making my anxiety go through the roof because you talk through so much beautiful moments and dialogue! Ahh, I have to meditate before the next one, lolol

Astromech Jeremy

14:06 it's Yaddle struggling to hold up the light in Dooku. Shit gives me goosebumps

Myles

I remember watching this with my buddy and his 7 year old son who read the title of this episode as “The Shit Lord” instead of The Sith Lord and still to this day I can’t help but laugh and call them The Shit Lords now. That being said this is one of my favorites too. The Mandalorian still holds some of the best Star Wars stories in my opinion but this one is certainly close.

Ryan “Rineran” Fox

Idk about release order. I think bad batch should be the next Star Wars show, just because he finished clone wars and it picks up right where it left off. That way he doesn’t go watch rebels, and mandalorian and then have to just come all the way back to order 66 and bad batch

Caverty

Yaddle was actually rumored to be Yoda's Secret Wife, like Anakin of course he kept it a secret but she was killed canonically during a mission assigned to Anakin and Obi Wan and i believe she flew out of the window of her apartment and fell. i think it was in a book i believe was legends and that is before it was retconned after tales of the jedi. here's the old canonical death of Master Yaddle, Yaddle's final mission took place in 26 BBY. She, along with Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan Anakin Skywalker, were sent to Mawan to attempt to restore peace to the lawless world. Yaddle sacrificed her life to save the people of Mawan, using the Force to absorb a deadly chemical weapon unleashed by Granta Omega. She was then given a traditional Jedi funeral back at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and was succeeded by Shaak Ti on the Jedi High Council.

GlizzyPrinceChristian

Yaddle is one of those characters that I wish we saw more of. She's one of the only other recorded members of the species that Yoda is. I would love to see more of her story. Also, I'd love to be a Jedi but my personality would 100% make me a Sith.

Mikala B

I agree with Slaya. Tales of the Empire should be the last thing he watches of what is currently released. From here on out, it would be better to watch most things in release order.

Mikala B

Always good to hear Liam Neeson’s Qui-Gon Jinn.

Josh Bruner

He has the captions. He acknowledged what she said right after her line.

Josh Bruner

I mentioned that on the last episode when he said there was only one season of this.

Brian Stanaland

Alex this takes place ten years before attack of the clones and the clone wars lasted for three years and that means Dooku has basically been a sith lord for 13 years

Austin Wunderly

One cool thing, both Dooku and Anakin fly the same ship to meet Palpatine and turn to the dark side.

JarJars_Bathwater

Dang you don’t remember kamino and how it was deleted from the archives? You should definitely do a rewatch of the movies

JP

Nah. U r right on the money, Alex. This truly is Star Wars at it's very best.

Demon of Empire

Remember Obi Wan searching for Kamino in the archives in Attack of the Clones and it was deleted, now you know who did it.

Timo

Technically, yaddle was in the actual movie in episode 1, but barely on screen in a background position with no lines

Michael

Oh man that's a good one!

Niklas Brün

Don’t judge! He was dyslexic ! 😅

💫 ZenNova ✨

Yeah I thought about that too, it’s not a bad idea to wait, I thought it’d just be nice to get the short series out of the way

Caverty

Yes I agree this is a fantastic episode Alex, but... Wait till you get to the season 2 finale of Rebels, you might have a new favourite. 😁👍

Mandy Sherratt

Completely agree

Mandy Sherratt

In case you don’t remember Alex Yaddle is the Sam species as yoda and she is the only female that we know of when it comes to yoda species. Plus you see yaddle only for 5 seconds in Phantom Menace

Zombieki11er451

I know I was so fucking pissed. So many moments throughout the Star Wars reactions where I wanna tell him to shut up 😂

Alex Georgiadis

I love that he brought that up in the reaction. What a unique line of Jedi.

Culper (Lukas)

Snapes actor has been dead since 2016, no it’s not snape, same voice as clone wars

Slaya806

Technically there is one after Asoka but we won’t talk about it…. Yet

Michael

Tales of the empire has a character he won’t even see till mando season 2, save tales of the empire till after ahsoka

Slaya806

Just a thought, maybe knock out tales of the empire next week all in one day then do avatar, just to have these shorts out of the way

Caverty

Is Dooku voiced by snape??

Tyler Evans

I just find it funny that yaddle doesn’t speak like Yoda, and yodas the one who chooses to speak like that

Kevin L.

lol Alex talked through the entire line

JQ

“Already so many have suffered for what you call order”. That line hits hard.

Alex Georgiadis

Yoda -> Dooku -> Qui-Gon -> Obi Wan -> Anakin -> Ahsoka

Sparks

This is indeed one of the best episodes in all of Star wars.

Alex Georgiadis

So fucking ready
