At first, the illusion was flawless. The subjects accepted their new lives without question, laughing, working, and loving as though they had always belonged to this world. The prodigy watched with pride, convinced he had birthed the perfect dream.

But then… the fractures began.

The suppressed memories started to bleed through, colliding violently with the implanted ones. Subjects recalled places they had never visited, families they had never known. Confusion gave way to paranoia, and paranoia to madness, as two realities waged war inside their minds. The artificial world itself bent under the strain, conversations looped, faces blurred, and time seemed to break apart.

What had begun as the promise of a new frontier swiftly descended into chaos. The experiment, once hailed as visionary, was judged too dangerous to continue. Authorities feared that in the wrong hands, the technology could become the ultimate weapon, not against the body, but against the soul. The invention was banned, its research buried, and its creator cast into obscurity.

For over a century, the device remained a forgotten relic. Until, 150 years later, the Reality Corporation unearthed the patents, determined to resurrect the forbidden technology. And from that moment, history would never be the same.
