Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (FULL MOVIE REACTION)

Hey everyone!

So, this is technically a rewatch, but you all wanted me to watch this movie with the added context that we've gotten from Clone Wars and OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!! This was actually like watching it for the first time!

This movie hits SO MUCH HARDER with that context and lore! Now we get to finish up Clone Wars, and I'll tell you what... I don't think I'm ready.

I love you all so fucking much! You guys are the best!

Love,

Alex

Comments

They did my boy Plo Koon so dirty.

Questro

It’s because Vader got weaker when he got all his limbs severed, his midichlorian count was majorly lowered. So while still powerful and one of the most powerful sith of all time, he will never be able to match palpatine in power how he was supposed to. (Which Palpatine actually wanted to be surpassed but since he got weaker, he didn’t see Vader as worthy anymore.) Also since he’s mostly robot, that sith lightning fucks him up badly as we see in Return of the Jedi.

Lil j

PlI saw so the sequels

CC-2024

But... It's not? That would be Vater. Which is close but the pronunciation is not even close so...

MasterElodin

The council didn’t know what the chips were meant to do. They were told by palpatine and his @medical professionals” that the 5’s and tup’s chips were degraded due to a rare parasite native to a planet they fought on.

The_newred5

I really hope Alex releases this on YouTube on April 25th to coincide with the official release-release in theaters

Darek Travis

Would love for you to watch and review these Star Wars Rebels ( a must watch before Ashoka) Ashoka Series Obi Wan Series Book Of Bobba The Original Clone Wars (Short Episodes Series) came before the clone wars series and movie that you saw... Because regardless of how some others may feel about these shows I think that you need to watch them since you have watched almost everything that Star Wars made. Like with clone wars, I appreciate all of these shows even tho they may have some sub par episodes sometimes because the trade off is that you also get good episodes that rock and great episodes that are EPIC and add more layers to the star wars stories we already love!!

Jersey Art Productions

You are my very first Patreon ever! And i came here for your Star Wars reactions. Please watch more Star Wars. I really like your reactions to it. There is so much good stuff! :D (avoiding the terrible)

Jellial Fox

wdym take anakin? did u see what went down once anakin showed up? he acts on emotion which is something he has been trained not to do

Theo

im so annoyed of people who blame the jedi for anakin turning. yes of course they play a role but its not their fault that anakin cant learn what has been taught for generations. i mean look at all the jedi that have been training and turned into masters because they learned to let go.

Theo

exactly, and why does everyone blame yoda as if its his fault entirely. he is just passing in what he was taught and what has always been taught. its not his fault that anakin is incapable of following these teachings

Theo

Man if you ever wanna see some more desperate attempts at the darth vaders determination to get padme back you should check out the vader immortal games

r6sfighter

Is it just me or this version laked music at some parts?

Ugapiku

fun fact, through the whole clone wars show anakin and grievous had to be kept apart, so their first meet in this film stayed accurate

Louie

“No one’s out here going “yeah Revenge of the Sith!”” Me, I’m the no one cuz comfort movie 🥲

Sarah Nicole

Honestly I would do amything for my soon to be fiance, so I sympathize with anakin a whole lot. Crazy what love will do to a man

MaulTheObese

Thats a cool fact "vader" always sounded cool to me, same as "venator" i think thats german for like hunter or something similar to that

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

You should also check out the Star Wars metal band called Galactic Empire. They are kickass, I think you would like them

flynn mathis

If you are still wondering what "Vader" means, it's German for "Father"

flynn mathis

You should watch 4, 5 and 6 again after Bad Batch, Rebels, Kenobi, Andor (and maybe a rewatch of Rogue One). Then the entire story ties together.

Ahran Ghani Majid

Also while the "how did this happen, were smarter than this" is a little cringe, obi wan is absolutely right, they were too focused on other things they didnt stop to think, which would have allowed them to remember not to run dead center down a main corridor on a cruiser or dreadnought as almost all of them especially military have MANY ray shield emitters spread through the corridors for this exact reason(relatively common knowledge for star wars characters), they should have found a ventilation duct etc to approach the bridge(precisely why obi and qui did the same on the trade federation lucrahulk in episode 1) or had r2 deactivate the emitters permanently somehow (before being caught in one in the first place as I assume communications dont go through ray shields like this, otherwise they could have just told r2 to turn it off before anyone arrived while they were trapped🤔)💯😅

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

If you want to know what that elevator scene near the start of this movie looks like during filming, just imagine it without the droids and theres your answer😂 the filming is sometimes hilarious, the actors and especially editors did a great job blending it all together to seem believable, even though they are always swinging at nothing when fighting battledroids

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

that is a good point, only other way is if palps had someone inside the medical facility that let him know, unless he could just feel that she had died, which if he could sap her life force, he should be able to tell if shes still alive or not, maybe im thinking too deep into it idk haha

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

That is actually quite an accurate way to describe their relationship!

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

Yeah, he kept saying not taking Anakin was a stupid decision. Then Anakin showed up and almost immediately switched sides and helped (potentially) kill Windu. Almost like Windu told him to stay out of it to prevent that exact thing from happening. The funny thing is, if Anakin had actually stayed put like he was told, everything would've been fine. Mace kills Palpatine (I personally do believe he beat Palpatine in that fight), Padme doesn't die in childbirth due to the self-fulfilling prophecy, no Order 66, everyone lives happily ever after. They probably would've even made Anakin a master due to his willingness to do the right thing despite being friends with Palpatine. But, y'know, Anakin gonna Anakin and not follow orders. (I know he was acting out of emotional distress, but still.)

NeonKurai

Regarding the whole chip situation with the clones, I don't think it's really fair to say that the Jedi knew about it and just stupidly didn't do anything about it. You have to keep in mind everything that happened in that Clone Wars story arc. 1. The chips that that were taken out of Fives and Tup never reached anyone for a proper analysis because they were given directly to Palpatine, who provided a fake analysis. 2. The Jedi didn't know that the purpose of the chips was to override their free will. They were told by the Kaminoans that the chips were made to make them less violent and more willing to follow orders, not to mind control them. 3. From the Jedi's perspective, this seemed to be true because Tup's chip malfunctioned and he went crazy and killed a Jedi. Fives removed his chip, and then he also "went crazy" (was drugged by Nala Se) and physically attacked the chancellor (as witnessed by Shaak Ti), started talking in crazy ramblings like Tup did when his chip malfunctioned, and pulled a gun and was potentially about to shoot Commander Fox (witnessed by both Anakin and Rex), resulting in his death. 4. Palpatine then fed everyone a cover story that a parasite within the clones' drinking water caused the chip to decay, something the Jedi would be even more inclined to believe since they already dealt with parasites making clones go crazy and try to kill people back in season 2 of the show. He also said that they prepared a vaccine for every clone in the army to prevent anything from happening to the chips again, which made it seem like the whole thing was resolved. 5. The Jedi believed this because A: they didn't know Palpatine was plotting against them, and B: they didn't know the Kaminoans were in league with the Sith. 6. Even if the Jedi did somehow know Palpatine was up to something, despite all the evidence and eyewitness testimony from Shaak Ti, Anakin, Rex, and multiple others, they're still in the middle of a war. They can't exactly ask Dooku and Grievous for a time-out so they can figure out if they should remove all the clones' chips or not. This is also why they kept the clone army despite finding out that the creation of the clones was orchestrated by the separatists before the war. The war had been going on for years at that point, and they were simply in too deep. If they just decommission the whole army, the Republic loses and the Separatists take over the galaxy. Sorry for writing a whole essay here. It just kinda bugs me when people put so much of the blame on the Jedi. Should they have done things differently? Yes, definitely. But it's easy to say "Why didn't they just do this, they're so stupid" when you know how the story goes. This whole thing is the culmination of 1,000 years of Sith plotting. Palpatine and his master Plagueis had been putting things in motion for decades at this point, even since before Episode I. It's not so much the Jedi being stupid as it is Palpatine playing both sides of the chess board and backing them into a corner with not a lot of ways out.

NeonKurai

Also the relationship between them is very similar to what you’d see in that of a sexual predator. Their relationship isn’t sexual but the toxic level of dominance Palpatine has over him made Vader want to stay with him, especially since he had nowhere else to go.

Dibs Dibs

As for why Vader never killed Palpatine is for a couple reasons the main being his suit was purposefully weak to lightning and in particular force lightning which is why it kills him when he gets hit by it to save Luke. The other 2 being 1. he never reached his full potential due to his body being mutilated there weren't as many midichlorians in him anymore. 2. Palpatine could sense betrayal on Vaders part the only reason he didn't when he killed him is because it was to save Luke not for some sort of personal gain and it worked because Palpatine doesn't feel or understand love

Chad Higgins

Alex fun fact Anakins choke didn't kill Padme. A popular theory is that through the force Palpatine took her life force gave it to Anakin so he could continue as Vader and told him he was responsible to fuel his anger

Chad Higgins

There’s a fan theory, that I like to believe. Palpatine reached out through the Force and sapped Padme’s life force until she died, to inflict pain on Anakin. After all, how could he know she was dead at the time he told Vader he’d killed her?

Hotaru Tomoe

Re the “Take Anakin!”; Mace Windu was right NOT to bring him. It’s clear that Anakin would be conflicted. It would give Palpatine a chance to worm his way into Anakin’s mind. Which is *exactly* what happened when he disobeyed and showed up anyway.

Hotaru Tomoe

He already watched Rogue One a couple months ago

Futschi Fu

I actually just watched something recently and Lucas himself said that Vader was a play on of Invader or something like that

Austin Wunderly

OBI-WAN Series & then Rogue One film before any rewatches!

carrot

Anakins mom, Padme, and Obi-Wan’s last words to Anakin were all “I love you” or “I loved you”.

Aaron Boone

Thank you! I shall probably watch the first season then give it a try

Taylor

Season 1 is beautiful, season 2 is absolutely mid and the majority of it isn’t even anime

Michael

I just don’t know if he will love bad batch. I know he will love everything else.

Aaron Boone

Ahh yeah I do suppose maybe just swap them two around then? I think everything else should stil be the same, but 7,8,9 should be last I think

Taylor

Idk. Im a firm believer in release order. The cool moment in the BB pilot means nothing if you havent seen Rebels.

jxm82

Has anyone watched that visions? Never watched it but never really been interested in either

Taylor

Needs to be done in chronological order I reckon from now will make the most sense

Taylor

I hope he watches Rebels before The Bad Batch, but i dont mind if TBB reactions came first either.

Chosaku_

I think we should just let Alex make up his own mind about the Sequel trilogy. I think he’ll like it, same with Solo.

Josh Gill

theyre bad.

Zach

Rebels especially, since it actually goes into the Vader/Ashoka dynamic a bit

Ian

Give me Clone Wars or give me death!! Can't wait for the episodes to drop

Ian

boooo

Zach

You need to complete all the other Star Wars projects aswell I feel definitely obi-wan, Ashoka, rebels, bad bad batch and 7,8,9

Taylor

Don’t know if anyone else mentioned this in the comments but, Alex people have been saying windu is still alive for years evan Sam Jackson himself has said it 😂 but it’s upto George I suppose

Taylor

Why Vader doesnt just fck up palps: He wasnt all powerful yet, he even lost to obi wan, someone he should beat easily, because he was too arrogant. After his defeat and after losing all of his limbs he lost a lot of his force sensetivity. He would have become imensely powerful but he couldnt because he was limited in the force and limited by his suit. Also his suit was build to make him very weak to force lightning so even if he wanted to try to overthrow palps he could have just beamed him with some lightning and won. Smth we see in Ep. 6. Vader was almost unharmed (lost one of his mechanical hands) and died because he absorbed all the lightning for Luke..... Love places where i can nerd out!! Thank you for watching Ep. 3 again, love all of your reactions and especially love when you watch star wars, a franchise that has been with me since i was only a kid and has carried me through some dark days. Seeing someone enjoying it for the first time and having such cool and intelligent reactions is dope as fuck. Love yall, bye

Naggo

No the solo movie is an underrated gem, there literally is nothing wrong with it except for the fact that it had terrible marketing so it underperformed massively

Michael

Should watch “Obiwan” show before watching episode 4! It’s only one season but follows him and some familiar people… I won’t spoil it lol

DragonQueen

Bad Batch too, gives insight on what happens after the war / with the clones

Redious

Not sure if anyone else has seen the Auralnauts Star Wars dub series on their YouTube channel but I kind of think Alex would love its stupid and goofy nature lmao

edgy_kylo

100000% and Ahsoka

Joovain

I agree with everything except for book of boba fett! That show was awful and I mean awful! Almost as bad as the acolyte and definitely the second worst Star Wars project! I also disagree with skipping solo, it’s an over hated movie that is not bad in any way and way better than most of the Disney shows releasing recently Edit: the only reason I’d watch kenobi is to get to watch episode 5 because that episode is phenomenal although the rest is awful sadly (mainly because of a certain character…)

Miles Barsness

kenobi needs to be watched

Coin s

Really hope we get the reactions earlier than before cause this clone wars finale is so good.

Joovain

But you know the rule of movie deaths..if you don't actually see the person die then they could always still be alive. Who knows what the future may hold for ol Mace Windu? 🤷‍♂️

The Splawn

Next a quickie TALES OF THE JEDI !!! Then let’s him fuck with Rebels and Bad batch.

💫 ZenNova ✨

Please watch Yellowstone

Tyler Evans

Alex, please don't skip 7, 8, and 9!

LoganPool

(Not so) Fun Fact: Padme still hat the big belly on her funeral because they don’t wanted anyone to know that she gave birth

Oliver

He missed the fact palps was looking over the death star plans right before anakin confronts him about being a sith lord etc😅

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

If it would only be good...

Nick

8-9 are not even just extremly Bad Star Wars Movies they are just awful Movies in general.

Nick

Yeah. It’s just some people get really over the top dramatic when talking about them and am afraid that’s gonna cause Alex to go into them with preconceived notions they aren’t good or he won’t like it

Ryan

The movies are just objectively bad even if you aren't a star wars fan. Especially 8 and 9. God awful choreography, overuse if characters, bad music implementation, the list goes on

Skyde

omfg YES!, not next, but one day he should def react to them, especially his new one thats about to release!!!

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

ah okay, thanks for the correction guys. Guess google translate is wrong aswell, since i checked it there, just in case before commenting

EASY STREET

actually nah kenobi did pretty bad, the original script was supposed to be a movie and was going to be amazing, but then someone(dunno who) came in and completely rewrote it to play out like it did. the original script is SOOOO GOOD!! its unfortunate, i like the show personally, but completely understand the parts people don't like, especially when you hear what it was gonna be like :(

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

Can’t believe today is the day. I am not ready for CW to end

Oliver

Kenobi show is most overhated/underrated star wars content.

Joovain

I dont think people think that those movies are bad as movies and rather they are not fully fan of the story and things how filmmakers did the film. Cause for me sequel movies are really good movies but some things in the story i dont like.

Joovain

R2s got the moves🤣👌

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

You gotta watch Star Wars Rebels next. It starts off slow in the first season but it gets SO much better. Just like The Clone Wars. By the way, ignore anyone that says Star Wars movie episodes 7, 8, and 9 are bad - I reckon you’d love them!

Josh Gill

I agree with you although he should do bad batch after rebels to please some people and he shouldn’t really ignore anything just cause you don’t like it, just sayin.

Alex Georgiadis

An excerpt from the novelisation of the movie about how Anakin exists as Darth Vader: "This is how it feels to be Anakin Skywalker, forever: The first dawn of light in your universe brings pain. The light burns you. It will always burn you. Part of you will always lie upon black glass sand beside a lake of fire while flames chew at your flesh. You can hear yourself breathing. It comes hard, and harsh, and it scrapes nerves already raw, but you cannot stop it. You can never stop it. You cannot even slow it down. You don’t even have lungs anymore. Mechanisms hardwired into your chest breathe for you. They will pump oxygen into your bloodstream forever. Lord Vader? Lord Vader, can you hear me? And you can’t, not in the way you once did. Sensors in the shell that prisons your head trickle meaning directly into your brain. You open your scorched-pale eyes; optical sensors integrate light and shadow into a hideous simulacrum of the world around you. Or perhaps the simulacrum is perfect, and it is the world that is hideous. Padme? Are you here? Are you all right? you try to say, but another voice speaks for you, out from the vocabulator that serves you for burned-away lips and tongue and throat. Padme? Are you here? Are you all right? I’m very sorry, Lord Vader. I’m afraid she died. It seems in your anger, you killed her. This burns hotter than the lava had. No…no, it is not possible! You love her. You have always loved her. You could never will her death. Never. But you remember… You remember all of it. You remember the dragon that you brought Vader forth from your heart to slay. You remember the cold venom in Vader’s blood. You remember the furnace of Vader’s fury, and the black hatred of seizing her throat to silence her lying mouth… And there is one blazing moment in which you finally understand that there was no dragon. That there was no Vader. That there was only you. Only Anakin Skywalker. That it was all you. Is you. Only you. You did it. You killed her. You killed her because, finally, when you could have saved her, when you could have gone away with her, when you could have been thinking about her, you were thinking about yourself… It is in this blazing moment that you finally understand the trap of the dark side, the final cruelty of the Sith — Because now yourself is all you will ever have. And you rage and scream and reach through the Force to crush the shadow who has destroyed you, but you are so far less now than what you were. You are more than half machine, you are like a painter gone blind, a composer gone deaf, you can remember where the power was but the power you can touch is only a memory, and so with all your world-destroying fury it is only droids around you that implode, and equipment, and the table on which you were strapped shatters, and in the end, you cannot touch the shadow. In the end, you do not even want to. In the end, the shadow is all you have left. Because the shadow understands you, the shadow forgives you, the shadow gathers you unto itself- And within your furnace heart, you burn in your own flame. This is how it feels to be Anakin Skywalker. Forever…"

Callum Slocombe

Correct order rebels/tales of the Jedi/bad batch and the live action he can go any direction but kenobi/andor which are the short ones probably should go first.

Alex Georgiadis

Mace crushed Grievous lungs at the end of the 2003 clone wars while attempting to prevent the chancellor’s kidnapping which takes place right before the events of revenge of the sith not 4 years ago.

Alex Georgiadis

I agree with most of what you said, but the Kenobi show really isn't that good. There are cool moments but the more you think about it, the finale doesn't even make sense

Skyde

Dude I’ve seen this 20 times and every time I watch it, I still hope that anakin makes a different decision lol. It’s very normal. This is going to be a tad long but I hope you can take this and use it going forward. First off fucking love you too Alex! You always say it but I never said it back lol. Much love man. But my suggestion of what order to watch next is this: -Rebels animated show -The Mandalorian season 1 and 2 -Book of Boba Fett show -Andor show -Obi-Wan Kenobi -Ahsoka show -Rebels is slightly kid friendly light clone wars but gets better the further you go. It’s half the length of clone wars, I think it’s 73 episodes. Could easily finish it in 3-4months. It follows a crew in the rebellion about 14 years after revenge of the sith and a few years before A new hope. -The Mandalorian is cultural phenomenon and is the reason people found faith in star wars again after episode 7/8/9 sucked. It takes place 6 years after Vader dies in episode 6. So it’s completely new territory for you. It’s a great 8 episode per season live action show with an insane budget. It feels like a video game and has a ton of heart. 16 episodes total for two seasons not bad at all. -Book of bobba fett is about the bounty hunter from movies 5/6. It’s kinda mid in my opinion but two of the 6 episodes are some of the best start wars of all time so you have to watch it for those episodes at least. It also takes place after episode 6. -Andor follows Cassian from Rogue one in his life before Rogue One, it’s fucking amazing!!! Best acting and writing in all of Star Wars. -The obi-wan Kenobi series follows Kenobi a few years after revenge of the sith watching over kid Luke. That’s about all I can say. It’s pretty damn good! -The Ashoka show….. well I can’t say what it’s about lol. Just live action Ahsoka played by Rosario Dawson and yes Alex you can finally make jokes about how fine Ashoka is in this one! lol *Ignore the movies 7/8/9* *Ignore the Solo Movie* *Ignore mandalorian season 3*

Aaron Boone

you need to watch rebels and bad batch, mando season 1 was pretty peak too

Zander

glad to see you are one of the few that see the stupidity of the jedi council.

Connor Ross

Darth Vader couldn’t have ever killed palpatine for 2 big reasons. Firstly, his fucking limbs were all cut off, and with the removal of a large portion of his body, so is his connection with the force permanently damaged. Secondly, he was now in a massive clunky hazard suit that was made specifically using old and unreliable parts that kept him in constant pain, and also was specifically designed to be vulnerable to electricity, so all palpatine could do is just hit him with lightning once and he would stop breathing, as what happened in episode 6

Michael

For me today but in the late evening :(

Joovain

I can’t wait for tomorrow!!

Viking1723

alex you have to watch Obi-Wan's disney plus show

Colby

The thing with R2 is that Anakin never erased his memory, there was an arc about it in the clone wars. R2 keeping his memory means he also keeps all the skills he picked up along the way, and is probably the reason R2 is so much more adept in combat compared to other droid's his model. There is one interesting thing about droids in starwars, the longer they go without a memory wipe, the more likely they are to develop psychosis and go on a murdering spree. Theres a few cases of droids going bat shit in the comics.

Harry

Yet at the same time, a simple way of looking at it is yoda tells anakin to hide and bottle up all his feelings while palpatine is the only one listening to what he feels

Michael

Just remember Alex, anakins turn to the dark side and the fall of the order is a complicated subject and is not all black and white, sure anakin was being very immature but the republic was also corrupt with beurocracy and the Jedi had become heavily politicized and clouded by the dark side and the fog of war. So there is no direct blame

Michael

I feel like Cody likely fell into a deep depression after realizing what he has done.

BeePrimeGaming

THANK YOU FOR GOING ON THIS JOURNEY OF INTENSE SADNESS BUT ALSO HOPE ! ALSO padme said there’s still good in him, you have to listen super closely to anakin cause his vocal chords are literally fried but when the helmet is put onto him he whispers “padme help me”

G Lord Robinson

"When there's a bridge in Star Wars, it's never good" Truer words have never been spoken.

Bmaster532

its not next wed, its tomorrow...

Tempo

You should watch Kenobi

Laura Sanchez

Mandalore arc this week?

SkywalkerBoy

Yeah but they break all continuity in Star Wars and are just plain disappointing

Michael

It is not German, it is Dutch

Michael

Yeah, they cut that though because it wouldn’t have fit the story

Michael

What a freaking journey. I love prequels and clone wars.

Codeserk

Vader didn't try to take over because Palpatine was pretty much keeping his grasp over him and he'd occasionally torture Vader and send him to dangerous missions just to make it clear he's the master and Vader is the apprentice. So yeah Palpatine kept him in check with fear cause Vader had nothing else to lose now with Padme being dead and Obi Wan "supposedly" dead

yoannblanger

or just continue to star wars rebels.

Joovain

Okay I just need to say for the record: yes there are people who ENJOY this movie, because it has the most amount of action in it, the best fighting choreography of any Star Wars movie, the best cgi outside of the sequels, and has some of the biggest points and events in the timeline of Star Wars

Michael

Oh my god hahaha my keyboard warrior instincts just kicked in and I was typing: „Did alex really just talk about wind in space“, right when he corrected himself😂

Alex Horvath

chat. swt vader fan film next?

TheMangolorian06

In order, tales of the Jedi/bad batch, rebels, kenobi/andor/tales of the empire, andor, mandalorian, ahsoka

Charlie Fontana

I am one of the people that sit and enjoy this movie! This movie rocks and is amazing. I will die on that hill!

CptCarter

your issue with yoda is understandable. he had lead the jedi for so long and they had slowly lost their way, yoda did realise this in that last yoda arc in the clone wars. However, he also learned that it was too late for him to fix the events that had been set into motion. this is kinda the entire story of the jedi in the prequels, theyre too far gone on a fundamental level. even if they treated anakin better and he didnt turn to the dark side, the eventual fall of the order was innevitable because they had lost their way. yoda didn't know how it was going to happen but he knew his focus had to be on preserving what he could and then eventually his focus became the new hope (luke). you'll also notice this during the end of the arc regarding sifo dyas and silman where the discover dooku was lord tyrannus who ordered the clone army and when they decide to cover it up yoda says that this is... "the right path? no, the only path".

Yeeticus

nah he is full cgi, they made models of him for reference but no animatronics

Tim

Dude from Germany here, Vader is Dutch not German, the German word for father is "Vater"

Tim

dude is not ready for this last arc :(

Yeeticus

Technically Samuel Jackson has kept saying over and over that mace windu is still alive and that wouldn’t have killed him, but both lucasfilm and Disney haven’t stated anything on whether he survived or not. My head cannon is that the lightning didn’t kill him immediately but knocked him unconscious, causing the fall to kill him

Michael

at 2:04:02 you can see Anakin say help me master!! muted.

Fire Force 1

You really should watch Rebels, Bad batch, Tales of the Jedi, Kenobi, Ahsoka, Andor and Mandalorian! I think you would enjoy them so so much!

Maester Juliet

"Run Run Run as Fast as you Can! You can't catch me! I'm Anakin!" I'M SLEEP! XD

Demon of Empire

You should watch bad batch after clone wars

ExploSion 203

Oh this is fking huge, I’m so excited for you to understand this movie!! God I can’t wait for next wed! By the way, Grievous coughs because like 4 years prior mace windu crushed his chest with the force @44:15 I’m so proud. Just spewing Star Wars like a pro Another note, look up what George Lucas and Sam Jackson have to say about mace being dead….. last note, yes Yoda is suppose to be the best, smartest, grandmaster. Yet he lets the sith exist right under his nose :/ ppl don’t like that very much Vaders suit is made of very conductive material, so one blast of lightning would drain all aura

Charlie Fontana

Vader is german and means "father". Darth Vader is supposed to mean Dark Father according to George Lucas, from what i can see online

EASY STREET

VADER IS NOT MORE POWERFUL THAN PALPATINE. ESPECIALLY AFTER EPISODE 3.

IGOR PODEMSKI

2:12:02 There's a LOT of analysis and speculation that in the scene where Anakin gets his helmet put on, before it's put on him his last words uttered are "Padme, help me" but they are extremely hidden so you'd really have to focus on listening during that scene.

IGOR PODEMSKI

Yeah if you rewatch 4 5 and 6 you'll definitely notice a lot more.

ryanrb

Tomorrow is going to be awesome. Those 4 last episodes of Clone Wars are my favorite piece of Star Wars visual media ever. Hope you enjoy them Alex, try to catch all the details ;d.

Ireful

44:40 you’re absolutely right, as much as we all love Yoda and Mace, they did make huge mistakes, and the Jedi are largely responsible for their own downfall. Can’t wait to see how you handle the last four episodes.

SD

Very true. I think the animated shows did a great job with the lightsaber fights though, and executed them pretty well. But in terms of live action, the only thing that has had choreo that is comparable to the prequels is the acolyte, in my opinion. It’s just too bad that the story couldn’t have been polished a bit more. And I think it’s a huge shame that we might not see Manny Jacinto’s character ever again.

renuzui

1:27:58 they learned dooku orchestrated it too late bc if they did anything about it the Jedi/ republic would be removed so they had to cover it up

JP

I hope you see after clone wars a Star Wars Rebels which is a very good show to need see before a Ashoka show.

Kuba Waląg

1:16:16 dude if he took anakin the same thing would’ve happened he wouldn’t have let mace kill palpatine regardless

JP

Yes it does

Skyde

Yup, lightsaber fighting peaked right then and there and it’s been a generally downhill slope ever since with a few exceptions.

SD

You should rewatch the originals (whether that’s on or off camera), seeing how Luke was the final push he needed to turn back to himself after knowing everything abt Anakins past (being a slave getting beaten and whipped by a slimy bug, have his mother die in his arms, etc) it just makes scenes like anakins redemption hit so much harder!

Miles Barsness

Alex... i must say. This was a VERY impressive "DEW IT!" impression.

IGOR PODEMSKI

Still wish Luke and Leia could’ve met padme 😭

BWarrior808

I think we all can agree that Anakin vs obi wan is the best lightsaber duel of the entire Star Wars franchise

Miles Barsness

This doesnt come close to 4&5

jamie jones

This was never stated anywhere in the movies, but just so you know Alex, darth plageuis the wise, was palpatines master, and it was palpatine who killed him

Michael

Not a hole in the story like you said with palpatine vs windu. When Anakin kills dooku palpatine tells him “he’s too dangerous to be kept alive.” Anakin immediately acknowledges it wasn’t the Jedi way. When he sees a master as high up as windu about to go against the Jedi code and saying the same thing that palpatine is “too dangerous to be kept alive,” this is going to make him question the Jedi integrity even more when his trust is already shaken in them. Not to mention how he gets treated by the Jedi vs palpatine, him needing palpatine alive to keep Padme safe, and it being a split second decision

Ryan

Let him do his own opinion

ExploSion 203

A thing when you were ranting about the chips in the clones: just remember that although it’s canon, it’s a retconned detail. When episode 3 was made, the original canon stated that they didn’t have chips, but were simply genetically less independent and trained to listen to any “order” no matter what, especially those orders from the top. Also originally, the Jedi knew order 66 existed, but just didn’t think anything would come of it because there were a hundred other orders, including order 65 which stated to kill the chancellor. Disney and lucasfilm retconned this by stating they had chips in their head, and made the Jedi not know of the order or the impending doom because the dark side clouded jedis mind. But even then, it’s a little bit of a plot hole because they still should have been able to put the pieces together regardless of the force

Michael

you should watch obi-wan kenobi series

Livia

1:24:17 that clone actor was a veteran in real life!!

Fire Force 1

You should see how terrifying grevious is in the 2003 2d animated clone wars

Wyatt Lechleitner

I love how they put plos death in a ship and not like the others! Definitely not a Jedi dying from blaster fire and would’ve imo 100% been a survivor

Miles Barsness

“My powers have doubled since the last time we met, count”. “You mean since last week?”

Michael

Dude. That rant? We all did it. The Jedi council out there flipping a coin while Palpatine is playing chess.

Brian Stanaland

You know Alex is mad when he actually pauses the movie to go on a (justified) rant

Logan Giddings

After the Clone Wars is finished. You should REALLY watch Tales of the Jedi.

Sebz

47:17 George Lucas Cameo on the left side of the screen!!

Fire Force 1

I remember earlier you said you were hesitant about rewatching episode 3 because you knew what happened and stuff. But this is more for the fact that this will really supliment the last 4 episodes of the clone wars for you. Cuz like, I love you Alex but there are times you miss massive details in things 😂 and this will make the last 4 episodes the best episodes of the clone wars for you

Michael

General Grievous was an animatronic for some scenes but I believe that he was cgi for the fight scenes!!

Fire Force 1

Did anyone notice R2 trip that droid during the bridge fight

Fire Force 1

Still the best of the 6 movies to watch IMO. (Sequels don’t count fuck them)

Michael

27:06 who else noticed the Milennium Falcon landing on the lower platform to anakin and obiwan👀😂

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

All time best prequel movie!!

Fire Force 1

After clone wars, solo and then rebels should be next

jamie jones

Check the schedule 😁

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

Hes doing them tomorrow according to the schedule

AdermGaming

There’s no air in space😂 so no air resistance to knock the buzz droids off

Tyler Evans

This is where the fun begins :- )

LightningAnbu

10:00 yeah the buzz droids use magnetised feet and their own mini thrusters to move and stay attached to whatever surface they need, just like how astromechs can do the same on the naboo starship in episode 1 without easily flying off under hard g's Edit: most droids and even clone troopers have magnetized feet/boots for such occasions aswell

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

Now the sequel trilogy!! Please just knock those 3 and maybe solo out of the way before we spend months and months on another show.

Matthew

I will also say you should do a big rewatch of the movies but not until you watch all the other shows. Once you know all the context of all the shows the movies become SO MUCH BETTER. I know that won’t be any time soon but it’ll be worth it in the end.

Desi Cr

Hope you're not doing the last 4 eps next week idk if I can wait that long

Naomi Amayu

You should rewatch the originals sometime, they hit hard with context

Jaden

crackdobby
