Anyway, this was such an EMOTIONAL-ass finale to the trilogy! I was pleasantly surprised with this movie, except for a few things! One, there was no maze!!!! Wtf. This is MAZE Runner. And then there were a couple things that happened throughout the movie that made me think it was pretty cheesy and lame.
That being said, this movie was a TOTAL BANGER! Filled with intensity, action, emotion, and a beautiful closing! LOVED LOVED LOVED this trilogy!

It’s not about Newt at all. It’s a sequel movie set in the same universe with different characters.

2024-11-14 01:34:48 +0000 UTCDylan nearly died making this movie, the scene where he's jumping between the moving vehicles, his safety rig failed, he slammed into the side of the cart and ended up going under the car following the cart. He had brain trauma and had to have facial reconstructive surgery. People who witnessed the accident later admitted they thought he'd died.

And I know it's been said but his death in the book was SO dark. I knew as soon as I read it that they were going to change it for the movie because there was no way they could have shown it like that. Would have been way too morbid. It's one of the most upsetting things moments in any story I've read.

2024-10-20 08:40:45 +0000 UTCThis movie was probably the one that suffered the most being adapted from the book, there’s actually a lot of technology lost in the transition and this changed how characters died as well as the overall plot. Spoilers for the book: In the book, Teresa got crushed in a collapsing tunnel after she pushed Thomas out of the way which makes much more sense than her failing to jump off of a building. Also Newts death was so much worse in the book since Thomas actually shoots him in the head, pg250 y’all.

The one with the skinny kid named Aris? Yeah, that's newt's sister. Her name is sonya. But neither of them knew cause of Wicked wiping their memories.

2024-10-02 23:42:20 +0000 UTCwell since newt makes u emotional let me make it worse for u, in the books he has a limp, which u can see the actor incorporate into the first movie when u see newt running, but see the reason for that is in the books newt used to be a runner, but he got depressed seeing there was no way out as they mapped it all out, so he climbed the wall and jumped attempting to kill himself, but doing so his leg got caught on the vines and he injured himself badly instead. alby was the one who dragged him out of the maze before the walls closed.

I read the books and cried so hard, and I thought I would be prepared to watch it, but it was SO MUCH WORSE! I watched this in the theater with my dad and brother when it first came out. I was sobbing so much at the part where Newt dies, my brother actually thought I was in physical pain. And then when Thomas was reading Newt’s letter, I somehow cried even harder. I can’t watch this movie without tears streaming down my face.
