Clone Wars 601 - "The Unknown" (FULL EPISODE REACTION)

Hey everyone!

Hey guys! wanted to let everyone know that we are switching today and tomorrow. Today will be Clone Wars and tomorrow will be Harry Potter. Yesterday HBO Max would NOT load the movie. It stopped after 49 seconds EVERY TIME. So, I called the service and turns out there was a weird thing going on with my payment method. long story short, everything is fixed but the schedule is slightly different! thanks for understanding :)

Sorry for the Clone Wars scare this week! Lol for those of you who don't know, I accidentally (I swear) forgot to put Clone Wars on the schedule, and there was a minor freakout moment from everyone hahaha

Anyway, with all that being said, we are BACK with Season 6 of Clone Wars!! Honest question, after Clone Wars is finished, I believe we will start watching Avatar: The Last Air Bender, but what is the next STAR WARS show we need to check out after Clone Wars?

Any thoughts?

Love you all,

Alex

I can't believe Alex missed the subtle dick joke! Fives: "Are your scopes Jedi-issue, sir?" (He says looking at Anakin's small scope, while he's holding a much larger one) Anakin: "Stay focused Fives."

Notice how around the orbital ring space station of Ringo Vinda there are Venators and Providence's etc just staring at each other not fighting, the reason they are not fighting is because neither side want to damage the space station beyond repair(the only thing worth taking on this planet) so they have infantry fight inside instead of tearing everything apart with massive cruisers risking the loss of dreadnought level mass production, as in the end this station is lost to the separatists but since ol palpy controls both sides of the war, it never mattered who took it over, either way it ended up churning out HUNDREDS of Imperial Star Destroyers during the galactic empires rein👀

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

I guess you’re right it would be cool going straight into bad batch. As long as he gets to the Disney plus MANDO etc shows last cuz I feel it’d best goong into that whole thing with Rebels knowledge and the sequels

Mohammad Khan

I would watch everithing between Clone Wars and Episode 4 in chronological order, I think it is a cool build up to a new hope and shows much of the background and what happens in these 19 years

Syntax_Juli

Na na, I think it would be such a cool expirience to after watching clone wars (and maybe a rewatch of Revenge of the Sith) continue with bad batch, because the beginning is parallel with the ending ofclone wars and episode 3.

Syntax_Juli

So these were finished episodes of an unfinished season. That’s why there isn’t as many. Disney bought and canceled clone wars after season 5 aired and these were done, so they released them at that time. Season 7 is actually the return of clone wars after we thought it wasn’t coming back

Jake Rush

I think you should stick to a release order since that’s how everything was made, so I guess Star Wars rebels next? But I assume you should check out the sequels (regardless of whether ppl hate or like em, I’m still curious to see your take if you haven’t seen them thst is) and then after rebels I’d say the Disney + shows like MANDO in release order, you will LOVE those

There are definitely things he won’t be able to understand or appreciate as much in Bad Batch if he doesn’t watch Rebels first (I won’t go into specifics due to minor spoilers, but yeah). Like the previous comment basically said, it would be like starting off watching the prequels instead of the originals on a first time watch (which doesn’t really make sense). I also wanted to say that, yes, while Rebels is at times a bit more “kid friendly” than Clone Wars can be, that doesn’t stop it from being excellent (honestly some of the best Star Wars content imo) and often tackling some darker themes. So I would have to disagree about “weaker” episodes. Tbh I absolutely enjoyed ALL of the episodes of Rebels, which is unfortunately something I can’t say about Clone Wars lol. And I know some people don’t love the animation, but like Clone Wars I would say it definitely improves. Personally, I always found the animation charming especially since I know a lot of it was inspired by Ralph McQuarrie art. There are some character designs I loved a lot and others not so much of course, but again I could definitely say the same thing about Clone Wars. Honestly, I would say anyone who skips out on Rebels due to something as minor as animation preference (or whatever you wanna call it) is seriously missing out.

renuzui

I think it’s because there are definitely a couple of things in Bad Batch s1 that he won’t really know or appreciate as much if he doesn’t watch Rebels first. When it comes to someone’s first watch of Star Wars, I always think watching the movies and tv shows in release order is best. Otherwise imo it’s like watching the prequels first for your first time watching star wars (which imo doesn’t make a lot of sense). The Clone Wars episodes are a different story though, lol.

renuzui

Imo I think he should watch Rebels first because there are definitely a couple of things in Bad Batch he won’t know or appreciate as much if he doesn’t watch Rebels first.

renuzui

"Bad Batch" and "Rebels" are both good choices. But I think you should do "Tales of the jedi" first. It tells more of the backgrounds of Ahsoka and Count Dooku. Things we've never seen and it's soo damn good!

Lord Zarback

It's not an actual show, but after finishing Clone Wars I think you should watch CLONE WARS: BATTLE OF THE HEROES from the youtube channel Hello There. It's a fan animation of the Obi-Wan vs Anakin fight from Revenge of the Sith, but in the Clone Wars animation style and with the Clone Wars voice actors. Don't get me wrong, the movie version of that fight is amazing. But seeing that fight play out with the Clone Wars versions of the characters, after spending 7 seasons with them, really hits different.

NeonKurai

Check Star Wars Rebels after this. Kenobi show is earlier in the story but i think watching Rebels first is good thing to do.

Joovain

Huh, i was wondering why you didnt include Clone Wars in the schedule.

Joovain

agreed

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

Bad batch is the next shoe in timeline. Rebels happens right after bad batch and is much better

Christian Henry

You met Admiral Trench in the first episode of the series!

canonscott

Bad Batch is the next show to watch Alex!!! It picks up right where clone wars leaves off and there are like NO bad episodes! It’s only three seasons and is so full of action, comedy, drama
you will live it!!

Niomi Hayz

I have an answer for your question on Asoka but I shall not answer it because you told me not to say it

Michael

It’s fine Alex, I get it was a mistake lmao :). The next best thing after this is rebels. It’s not as long as the clone wars (only 4 seasons) and is comparatively more child like, but still absolutely badass and super fun to watch, and also sets things off for the original trilogy. You should also watch the bad batch, it takes place afterwards and is 3 seasons long and unlike rebels, the bad batch is really in line with the clone wars and is in many ways a continuation

Michael

rebels, bad batch, kenobi or han solo would be the best choices as they are all the closest to the events of clone wars.

Connor Ross

Yes. Rebels is the way to go

Raul Morin

Rebels before bad batch, there’s some spoilers in it

Slaya806

Sequential speaking now would probably be The Bad Batch <3

william kopolovicz

PLEASE WATCH THE SEQUELS FIRST, so you finish the movies

bombraider333

Rebels!!! Rebels, Rebels, Rebels, Rebels. Also

 Rebels. 😂

Diana

I would highly recommend bad batch as it picks up right where clone wars left off, but that being said rebels is released first. Not sure why watch them out of chronological order but seems some folks want that

Hunter

By that logic he should have watched Clone Wars before Episode 3. Release order has its merits, especially when talking about OT vs PT, but the continuity of watching Bad Batch right after the end of Clone Wars seems sensible to me. I'm not aware anymore of what BB spoils going into Rebels, so I might have to look that up again. Rebels being a better show is another argument too, it definitely has some very strong moments, especially in its season finales, but also features a number of weaker episodes. Not to speak of the animation, which has always soured my experience with Rebels a little bit.

TMK

Release order is better than chronological order. You didn’t tell him to watch clone wars before revenge of the sith because it “made sense chronologically”. Plus rebels is a better show AND MOST IMPORTANTLY bad batch spoils stuff that’s in rebels. Rebels is the only show that he can watch that won’t spoil him about other projects or shows. The shows were made to watch them in release order. The whole damn saga is mean to watch in release order. He didn’t watch the prequels first, he watched the original trilogy first.

Alex Georgiadis

True

Scythe

Rebels. Rebels. A hundred times Rebels.

Lee Smith

after CW, bad batch or Rebels

Jesse

Watching Tales of the Jedi and then Bad Batch would be a good continuation after Clone Wars. Bad Batch takes place right at the same time as the last Clone Wars arc and Episode 3. People are saying Rebels should be next, but it doesn't really make a lot of sense chronologically.

TMK

Completely agree 💯😁👍

Mandy Sherratt

Starwars Rebels should be next.

Mandy Sherratt

Yaaay! Great decision Alex, this has made my day.😁👍

Mandy Sherratt

I’m so happy your finally at my favorite arch

Darth daddy

I think you should watch The Bad Batch series afterwards because it will match up chronologically and it’s amazing!

Jack

Yesss I work tomorrow so this is a goated day

MaulTheObese

It’s better to watch these shows in release order. Rebels is the only show he can watch that won’t spoil other shows or projects. Also by watching rebels first his reactions will be better because if he watched bad batch first it will have spoiled or prepared him for some of the scenes and episodes of rebels.

Alex Georgiadis

Imo you should watch Tales of the Jedi before you start Avatar. It’s only 6 10-15 minutes episodes and it ties in perfectly with the end of Clone Wars so I would recommend not waiting very long to watch it, especially because it’s so short

Lucas Chantler

i would suggest watching tales of the jedi. it’s short but good, but if you’re looking for a star wars show that will last a while, then i suggest Star Wars Rebels. not trying to continiue the kids show trend, but i think there are so many moments and characters in that show that Alex would love

The Rust

The Clone Wars has a small spin-off series called "Tales of the Jedi" as well as "Tales of the Empire". They are short, six episode seasons, each episode 12ish minutes, that tell stories around that Clone Wars time frame. Considering you could probably knock out each season in one sitting, I'd say they're worth checking out. The Bad Batch is basically Clone Wars seasons 8, 9 and 10. It follows a group of characters you haven't met yet but uses the same animation as Clone Wars and is basically a spin-off. I won't say much more to avoid spoilers. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't have too much of an effect on the broader Star Wars universe besides a couple small things, and is its own contained story. I wouldn't say it's required viewing, but it's a good show with some good Clone Wars payoffs. Star Wars Rebels is probably the next show to watch for Star Wars. Like Clone Wars, it kind of starts like "oh this is a kid's show" but as it goes on it really ramps up and does some cool things. It also follows up on some Clone Wars stuff, which I won't spoil. I wouldn't say it's a Clone Wars spin-off like Bad Batch, but it definitely ties in some cool things. Recently, Rebels has kind of become an essential viewing for Star Wars, so if the eventual goal is to watch EVERYTHING (or at least the main things), then Rebels is the next logical step.

Lucas C.

Actually I think fewer episodes is good bc it means these last two seasons can be done quickly.

Demon of Empire

Next show should be rebels. 1) it’s better than the bad batch 2) its is soooooooo much better to watch everything in release order rather than chronological order when it come to the animated shows. 3) it’s the only show you can watch that doesn’t spoil other shows or projects (because of the release order). Trust me rebels should be first.

Alex Georgiadis

The next star wars should be the tales of the jedi shorts. Those are probable the most immediate ones to watch.

CoFro

Can you imagine if the droids were living beings? The war crimes, from Anakin alone, would stack so high.

Culper (Lukas)

Also the show technically ended after S5, but this season was put on Netflix where it stayed with the rest of the show until 2019 when Disney plus came out

Cole Romero

You must watch Rebels after Clone wars finishes. It starts off kind of like the beginning of clone wars, but it becomes really good by the 2nd season. And after rebels, bad batch is next

Cole Romero

Bad batch after clone wars then rebels

CC-2024

The Bad Batch!!!! It is a direct continuation of Clone Wars and it is AWESOME! Then move on to Rebels.

Kayla

Bro I can’t wait any longer pls post next episode

Lucas Persson

Eww no lol, I love Obi wan and Vader aka ewan and Hayden but even I admit that show was awful because of bad writing and the entire character of Reva lmfao

Miles Barsness

The Bad Batch because it happens directly after Clone Wars. Then Rebels, then The Mandalorian and Ahsoka. And then you can go probably anywhere you want.

IGOR PODEMSKI

Clone wars was cancelled in march 2013-2014, continued in 2020 so about 6 and a half years, rebels was made between 2014 and 2018 and is worth watching eventually, however bad batch is best to watch directly after as season 7 introduces the bad batch and kinda transitions into it perfectly, the tales of the jedi etc are good to watch wherever, and as for ahsoka i dont want to spoil anything, there is the ahsoka show based after episode 6(ROTJ) aswell as the mandalorian which is a MUST watch! when the empire is disbanded, since you havent seen the ahsoka show yet i would recommend rebels before it as the ahsoka show is basically a live action continuation of rebels, probably best to not spoil anything ahsoka related i think guys👌😅

Kobain Hine(Kyber)

Alex I suggest you watch Star Wars rebels it's a good show

Austin Wunderly

Rebels, top tier show comparable to clone wars (minus the last season of clone wars, that was too good)

Rielly La Pointe

Bad batch has some minor connections but for the most part is its own thing

Slaya806

You gotta watch bad batch after clone wars, it picks up right where clone wars ends. Also for shorter reactions watch tales of the Jedi and tales of the empire

Ethan

Nah it’s gotta be bad batch, it literally picks up where clone wars ends. And it fills in what happened to Rex in between clone wars and rebels

Ethan

Admiral Trench is the first villain you were introduced to in the series (not surprised you forgot about him, just thought I'd mention it)

crackdobby

I feel you would enjoy Season 2 of What If

Marcos Andino Jr.

“Does ahsoka come back” I won’t directly answer this but what do you think Alex?

Charlie Fontana

Does him stroking his mandibles bother you that much?

F3nn

I would say the next show should be Bad Batch since it takes place directly after clone wars.

Scythe

I think the bad batch, tales of the jedi, tales of the empire and rebels are all worth checking out. It's not all top notch, but there's a lot of cool stuff and lore

Skyde

Andor is my top pick, followed by Bad Batch. I’m sure the popular vote will be Rebels, but ehhh.

TyroErobam

The bad batch would be a good show after clone wars

fredywe1ss

Or Tales of the Jedi / Tales of the Empire, but thats a pretty short one

Joey Cromwell

wonderful arc

Skyde

Only 1 Option, Star Wars Rebels. ItÂŽs the only series you can watch without getting spoiled for other projects.

Joey Cromwell

Could always go back and watch the original animated clone wars that came out before the 3d animated one.

F3nn

Should definitely watch the obi wan show

Aidan

Let’s goooooo!!!!
