Clone Wars 504 - "The Soft War" (FULL EPISODE REACTION)

Hey guys!

I feel like at this point in the series, all of the arcs are really stellar! Honestly, that makes it hard for me to differentiate and rank each episode based on which I think is better or worse! I guess that's a really good problem to have!

Having the 2 Gerrera's playing off of each other is super interesting to watch, and then having Ashoka continuously rise to the occasion and become such a badass individual is extremely satisfying!!

Anyway, before I slap my ass'le any harder, I better let you guys go, and I'll see you ALL in the next one!

Love you all so much,

Alex

Very nice explanation bro

"How is the Republic Corrupt?"... - Senate Manipulation and War Profiteering: Senators engaged in corrupt deals with corporations like the Banking Clan, prioritizing financial gain over public welfare. - Political Assassinations and Cover-ups: The Republic's leadership turned a blind eye to assassinations and destabilization efforts, especially in neutral systems like Mandalore. - Palpatine's Power Grab: Chancellor Palpatine manipulated events to consolidate power, undermining democracy and leading to the eventual rise of the Empire. - Exploitation of the Military-Industrial Complex: The secretive cloning process on Kamino reflected the Republic's moral decay, with clones treated as expendable assets. A few more examples are coming up that I won’t spoil. In general, though, the Republic and Jedi lost their way to politics, bending/breaking the rules, and profiting over those who were weak instead of protecting them. Palpatine took what was already festering within the Republic, took power over decades, and eventually built the Empire.

Alex Jesus Christ of all that’s holy I hope you see this. THE REPUBLIC IS EXTREMELY FUCKING CORRUPT. That’s the only reason the war started in the first place because the republic became completely hands off with everything, allowing poverty and slavery to spread while lining the pockets of every senator while doing it. Not only that but the majority of all senators only controlled parts of the republic as a means to make more money for themselves instead of bettering the life of the people. EVEN FURTHERMORE, the Jedi over centuries became more and more political and practically became attached directly with the republic even though it never should have been, causing the republic to use the Jedi to carry out their bidding

Michael

On the first watch it's hard to notice since the Republic is kind of presented as this "good side" for the most part. However, it was very deeply corrupt and problematic which will get clearer as the show progresses.

i will write this down under every clone wars video from now on: please make sure to rewatch the prequel movies (at least episode 3) before the final 4 episodes of season 7. i think you can only benefit from it and will make the experience of the final so much better than it already is! (at least in privat)

Noah Enigma

They started the extremely cells here. Padme and other senators started the less extreme rebellion in cut scenes of episode 3

“how is the republic corrupt” alex.. remember palpatine? the banking clan?

canonscott

not really? They inspired saw who eventually started a rebel cell, so that’s a bit of a stretch

canonscott

The republics is very corrupt, lokk who runs it

Oliver James

I like how this shows that Anakin, Obiwan and Asokha founded the Rebellion.
