I swear! Every episode gets better and better! More and more involved, intricate, well-planned, etc. I truly feel like we seldom see a show that advances the storyline so well as the show progresses.
I LOVE this fucking show, and I can't wait to see the remainder of the season! Am I ready for what is about to come?! AM I READY!?!?!?!?

The gag reflex is brought on when you can not swallow the saliva building up in your mouth due to the ball being so big in your mouth. A small ball would be the equivalence. of placing a tic tac in the harness. I'll move on. It is VERY COMMON for both men and women in high stress/ high power professions to enjoy a "DOM" in their down time. Very often these DOM'S are paid playmates but not escorts or "hookers". It would be beneath their calling to have sex or more to the point let sex be had with one of their clients. It's sexual in nature for the SUB perhaps, but if the DOM is a trained one it would be more of a turn off than a turn on. Great episode however. Keep it coming.

2024-08-02 01:31:46 +0000 UTCSo...Jon Bernthal is a method actor (actually studied in Russia at the school where "method acting" was developed) and I've heard him say time and time again that what most of the bullshit people call "method acting" is NOT it. It's not about inhabiting the character 24-7. It's not about losing yourself in the role. It's more about finding the parts within yourself that already exist. So, like...to play Frank, he drew a lot on the fact that he is a husband and a father and how much his own kids and wife mean to him. He reached into his own past with violence (he got in a fight with a guy and, for a brief period, it looked like the guy might not survive...so he was sat handcuffed to a bench in an LA station knowing that he could very well see all the good things in his life vanish and be lost to the extreme violence of the CA penal system and what he would have to do to survive within it.) The "method" is whatever works for an individual to get them to the place they need for the scene...to where they aren't "acting" as the character, but just being the character in the moment. Sure, when playing the character over the length of filming, it's necessary to keep somewhat in the headspace so that you can get there for the scene faster, but it's really NOT supposed to be anything like the Jared Leto bullshit of living and behaving as the character outside of action and cut. And, no, Frank was never a U.S. soldier just doing his job. He's a Marine...that's an important distinction to a Marine. How does Lewis know how to make a bomb? You learn more in the military than just how to run long distances and shoot guns. You get trained in explosives because you may have to use them to clear obstacles/breach fortified positions. You also may encounter an IED and need to be able to safely neutralize it without calling in a specialised team.
