I was honestly going back and forth a bit during this episode thinking it may be a filler or it may not be... turns out... it most certainly was NOT a filler episode!!!
I have been so thankful we started watching this show together! Thank you to everyone who was telling me that I have to watch this! We are only 3 episodes in, and already my level of excitement before I start watching this show each and every episode is off the charts!
So dark and well done! Fuck man!!! I WANT MOREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

If you remember, we knew this was an ambush from when his officer “testified” for him on Daredevil. Who also turned out to be the Blacksmith and Frank killed him

2024-07-17 11:15:01 +0000 UTCYes, he's an anti-hero. Frank is a good man... he's just also very good at turning people into former people. I mean, you saw the beginning of the series...he tried to put it behind him, go to work, take abuse from assholes, go home, and lather, rinse, repeat the next day. He might have stayed like that forever if he didn't need to come to the defense of another. Granted, Donny wasn't a true innocent, but he was going to be murdered and Frank couldn't just sit back and let it happen. My dad was a Marine and, if he had only taught me one lesson that would stick with me it was this...a good man's place will always be between the threat and the threatened. Frank just happens to be far better than the average at eliminating the threat...and maybe gets more enjoyment out of it than the average joe...but therein lies the anti- part. Good deeds through means that leave a bad taste in the mouth of most...but good deeds all the same.

I know he feels like these men. Like his life his unit were on the line the job, to follow orders without questions without hesitation. I know he followed orders that haunt him and his young wife every day. I think good men when pushed can do horrible things. I know horrible men who by choice or by accident do wonderful things. I love this show. If you like the badass nature of a unit of men who fight for their lives for the lives of their men, you should watch the movie Lone Survivor With Mark Wahlberg.
