Inside Out (FULL MOVIE REACTION)

Hey guys!

I FUCKING LOVE THIS MOVIE!

What a truly miraculous visual depiction of our human emotions and how they feed off of one another and are intermingled. That intermingling seems to get more and more prevalent with age.

I would love to sit down with a psychologist or psychiatrist and see what they have to say about the movie! I honestly didn't know what to expect with this film, but any expectations I had were drastically exceeded.

I can't believe how unbelievably entertaining and gooch-slapping this movie was, but at the same time I went down a psychological rabbit hole and analyzed this movie in a way I don't typically.

Super fascinating! Thank you guys so much for taking this journey with me! I love you all so much!

Much love,

Alex

Inside Out (FULL MOVIE REACTION)

Comments

you have to watch Soul as well. the pixar movie that came out in 2017

Abhishek Amol

this movie says it's ok to be sad especially after you lost your first home and first friends, maybe don't punch people for feeling sad

Viera Galikova

grosss, you're basically saying you want to punch a 11year old girl that she's not allowed to be sad about losing her first home and friends..........

Viera Galikova

I agree on what you said at the small talk at the end ^ ^

Piipiipoopoo520

Piipiipoopoo520

@movies_and_game_clips

There is a YouTube channel called cinema therapy where a therapist and a film buff both react to and break down the psychology of movies. They have two videos on Inside Out. I prefer the newer one because they watch it with the Directors of the movie. Its amazing and probably exactly what you're looking for.

Inside out 1 (and 2) are genuinely my favorite animated Films. Seeing that you were going to react to them I simply had to make my way over here to Patreon to get the early reactions. Rileys emotional journey is one that I hold very near and dear to my heart and relate to on a level of its own. There are not many movies or shows where I can genuinely say, "I grew up alongside this character," and Riley is one of those few that I can say that for. I really appreciated how you used the specific term of "Regulating Emotions" to describe the moment where the control console began to shut down at 1:18:05. As someone who generally has a very hard time Articulating and Regulating their emotions, that scene was the moment where I saw myself in Rileys shoes: Struggling to understand why things had to change so drastically. Struggling to realize why I couldn't FEEL anything... That was the moment I realized that the reason I "couldn't feel" was due to the fact that I wasn't allowing myself to. I was being told, and telling myself, to, "Just be Happy! Things will get better! Change can be good?!" But what I didn't realize, until that moment, was that I was not allowing myself to really recognize just how shitty things genuinely were. Some people say, "The first step to fixing a problem is realizing you have one," and this movie pinned it perfectly in my case. Recognizing that in order to Genuinely FEEL Joy, you also need to be capable of feeling Sadness and accepting it when it shows itself. Long story short, this movie, for me growing up, was a bit of a reality check. I still struggle, but believe it or not this movie helps me even to this day, damn near 10 years later, to remember to simply: FEEL Anyway, I'm sooo glad you enjoyed the movie! I'm super excited for Inside Out 2! If you've read this far, have yourself a Splendid day! 🤣😁

You should watch Elemental. It's a great Pixar film as well. Can't wait to see more animated movies with you...so fun! Thanks Alex.

Jessica Houser

Yeah, definitely check out the Cinema Therapy episode about Inside Out. It's really good

Sarah-Louise Gendron-Ryan

It’s interesting to see you and other reactors hating on sadness in the beginning, which I guess was what the movie wanted but when I first watched it I wasn’t annoyed at all by her.

Lukas Weimar

Question for the next Q&A: If you had personality islands running inside your head that reflect who you are, what would their themes be? Edit: About an hour in and realizing that you kinda answered this in the movie. Oh well, maybe you can go into more detail if you do pick my question for a Q&A.

Henry Carhart

Cinema Therapy (one of the guys is a licensed therapist, the other a filmmaker) has a video on YouTube analyzing this movie.

Diana

you should watch the short film of her first love/crash too

Astoria

the saddest thought of the film is: do we all had a friend like Bing Bong and forgot about him while we were growing up?

Astoria

You should really consider watching Soul, too. It's like top 3 Pixar films for me, up there with Inside Out, and even has some similarities to it in ways. I hadn't heard that much about it and was worried it was going to be underwhelming or something, but it's so incredibly relatable on such a pure, human level. I just watched it for the second time and I spent the last 30 minutes of the film bawling. It's an extraordinary, creative, and brilliant depiction of what it is to be human, and to be alive...

Turnt SNACO

The "Excite Her Awake" thing is interesting bc I've actually had dreams that were so dumb funny that I started laughing in my sleep and it woke me up.

Demon of Empire

"All of the sudden the Mexican Cartel slits your throat" 😂😂

Noble

Hey Alex I heard about what you said about Riley being a Teenager. Watch Inside Out 2 for they

Christian Banton

I literally almost died laughing every time Alex says the most outrageous shit couldn't breathe 😂😂

Noble

The Bing bong part made me cry so much. I think you will love the second one, you definitely have to watch it.

Annette Muina

This one i used for the sensored old cw videos on here. Hope it helps :) https://ww16.0123movie.net/movie/star-wars-the-clone-wars-season-1-6856.html

Alexander

Fantastic movie. But I wanna hear more about Alex's imaginary friend, the Norwegian magician I believe it was? 😂

Troy Foote

Yup apparently if you look at this movie from a film theory standpoint Joy is indeed the antagonist. A well meaning one but still the antagonist.

MasterElodin

Regarding the psychologists view: My therapist recommended this movie to me to understand emotions better. So there's that lol

MasterElodin

THE EDITS FOR THIS VIDEO IS GONNA BE HILARIOUS!! The second one is for real a banger! I teared up 3 times!

Kr1s

Inside Out 2 goes into some of the teenage emotions you want to see.

Robert Miller

Bro….1:14:32 I’m dead asf😭😭😭😭💀💀💀

Lucas Husli

This movie is genuinely beautiful & might be a masterpiece on emotions, my favorite thing is every time you see Anger reading a newpaper, the headline changes depending on what’s happening in the film

Tristan Smith

i meant to put can’t

Brady Schwartz

love the disney and pixar movies please keep doing them and please stick to posting the movie without the blur on patreon tbh i can afford all the diffrent subscriptions to watch all your content but love it and wanna support ya

Brady Schwartz

I need him to watch Inside Out 2 once it becomes available for streaming, i'm sure i speak for majority of people when i say Inside Out 2 is surprisingly better than the first movie. Way more in-depth and accurate i loved it. I haven't rated a movie 10/10 in a while but Inside Out 2 definitely takes that spot.

Dylan McKnight

YES INSIDE OUT 2 HOLDS up and you SHOULD watch it!

Asheenah

There is a time in this this movie where I stop hating sadness and loving joy and switch to hating joy and loving sadness and I could never figure exactly where till now. It’s where Bing bong is crying and sadness is taking to him and joy is just trying to hurry them along and then just downgrades sadness and takes her ideas

Matthew

WATCH CORALINE RIGHT NOW!

Excalibur

I love watching before it’s edited and him talking to the wall. Love the videos

MindlessMonkey

Alex if you wanna see a therapists point of view on this movie you should check out cinematherapy one of the hosts is a therapist and the other is a filmmaker and they give great insight on different movies and characters and they’ve made a few insightful videos on inside out
