He will prolly get through them all anyways like with pirates and starwars. Just because yours ain’t winning this week doesn’t mean yall can throw tantrums. You know how many weeks I’ve had my shit loose. Just move on lol. This is why i suggested alternating each week. That way you all know he will get to the movies you want. It will keep three fan bases happy for a lil bit but all you have to do it be patient and not expect some instant gratification. You can always unsubscribe or watch it on your own.

Yes, there was a gradual drop-off in the States, but not only the third but even the fourth (!) movie did better than any Apes movie, and even the fifth was competitive. And the foreign box-office makes Transformers look even better. I have no intention of claiming that these movies are better than the Apes, but this is Patreon; the popular regularly beats out the good. And people affecting (?) stunned disbelief at this for the third post running is rapidly becoming not only pathetic and tiresome, but also noxious. (As an exercise, try very hard to imagine you're one of the majority who somehow voted for RotF, and read through the comments.)

Rotf made bank cause of how popular the first was, then each movie after rotf made less and less in north america. It did much, much better in the U.S. The fact that the "cool kids" look down on Michael Bay somehow did not dissuade the ticket-buying public. Is it really a shock that a more popular movie is winning a Patreon poll over a better one? "But look at the comment section!" 1. The poll losers are more likely to enter the comments to rage and whine, duh. 2. Given the almost toxic environment created by the Ape-lovers, others are motivated to stay clear. I myself have no interest in watching any (further) Transformers movies until Bumblebee, but was actually tempted to vote for it because of the mass and tenor of the pro-Apes comments. I am willing to lay money that some succumbed to that temptation.

So if their definition of universally is incorrect, I’m sure theres a place where you can protest their definition. Personally, I couldn’t care less which movie is selected. I’m here for entertainment, and part of that entertainment is the emotional and psychological states of those passionately objecting a particular choice. The review data is the review data. And if the review data on both IMDB (6 out of 10 liked it, which is 60%), and Rotten Tomatoes (57% liked it) shows anything over 0%, then the word “universally” *by definition of the word in the dictionary* simply cannot be used based on Webster’s definition of that word. If someone prefers to instead say “the *majority* of people hated it,” then even that wouldn’t work, because you need to have a “like score” of less than 50% on those two aggregate sites. Just purely based on English and math.

They probably are just like "well that's the only movie I know, so I guess that". In other words, it's not people telling you that the Transformers movies are more worth watching than the Apes movies, it's people telling you that the only movie they've seen out of this selection is Transformers. So I guess it just depends on if your intention for the poll is "Which of these is more worth watching?" or "Which of these have been which of these has been seen by the most of you/would get the most views if I reacted to it?"

And by definition, “universally hated” would mean it wouldn’t have even made the list. Granted, it’s much lower rated than apes. But “Universally” means “affecting ALL members of a class or group” - in which case no one would vote for it. But for whatever reason, some people did. No one is going to live if apes wins this week. No one is going to die if it doesn’t. But I for one shall continue to laugh at the sheer madness of it all!
