April - MHC - Self-Expectations and How Troubling Times Actually Help
Added 2024-04-17 23:43:08 +0000 UTCHey guys!
I can’t believe another month has gone by since doing the last video!
I know we all create expectations of ourselves whether that’s personal or spiritual or professional and that means WE FALL SHORT.
100%. It’s a guarantee. The most successful people fail the most.
This is just a tall goofy kid sitting in the grass in public talking to you guys through a phone lol. I love you all so much and I hope this helps at least one person!
It’s all love. All the time.

But we were both dying laughing at the jokes you were making about Luke and Leia! We couldn’t wait to get to episode VI!!! lol I was in a dark spiral all last month because I broke my right ankle (and tibia! Go big or go home) on March 1st which needed 8 screws and a metal plate. I’m 47 and have never broken a bone before, let alone have surgery. Losing my freedom to go where I wanted to go when I wanted to go there was really hard to take. Finding out who my friends really are was harder still. But it is what it is. I was planning a fresh start March 1st to start really putting in the work to be my best self. But I broke my foot half way through the day on March 1st. I must be a direct descendent of Murphy himself. Once I worked through the trauma and pain (which was all of March) I realized that I’ve got two more months of not having to be at work so I have nothing but time to invest in myself. I can concentrate on all the things I want to start doing and kick bad habits. Thank you for letting me rant and reminding me that the universe sometimes gives us what we need, just not in the package we imagined. A broken ankle will be a worthy sacrifice if I can get myself to start meditating! The ADHD is real. *a special thank you for the How to Train Your Dragon reactions. That got me through a rough night a few weeks ago. But I signed up for your Patreon for Django! I saw it when it was released Christmas morning. It’s in my top 5.
