Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (FULL MOVIE REACTION)
Added 2024-02-02 19:18:19 +0000 UTCHey guys!
Time to jump back into the world of HARRY POTTER!!!!! ............ except it's nothing like Harry Potter. Which isn't a bad thing, unless it is. Then it's awful.
LOL. I have no idea what I'm saying. I actually thoroughly enjoyed this film! The plot of it seemed a bit confusing and unnecessary, however, for what it was, it was pretty fucking incredible! Just to see all those wild magical beasts... unreal.
I have heard that the rest of the films are pretty garbage, so I don't anticipate we will be watching those movies unless, of course, you all vote them in!
Totally up to you guys!
I hope you all have a fantastic day! See what I did there?! ;)
Love,
Alex

You can't really see only 1 of the 3 movies because they are all one story just like the Harry Potter series

2024-11-05 05:55:23 +0000 UTCThey're entertaining movies, all three. Not as good as HP's story itself but interesting enough. Please try to pay more attention, you tend to miss important details and plot points because you go off on a rant about things like having a cockroach in your pants one time or telling silly jokes a lot haha, or even better, trying to tell a joke, messing it up and then starting over, or the best of all is when you start asking questions about something while the movie is literally explaining it and you miss the entire explanation xD But having said that, it's always entertaining watching your reactions, so it's all good haha. I still don't really understand how a big bird making it rain with a potion of creature venom with obliviative properties affects people inside, seems like quite a stretch and/or oversight, but hey, *magic* xD A movie (or a few I guess, if they did it right) about the previous 1-2 generations of hogwarts students would be interesting, it would be cool to see more of Snape's tragic life and how he ended up where he did, as well as a younger Dumbledore & Hagrid, Tom Riddle, Lucius Malfoy, Lily, James, Sirius and Remus, Arthur & Molly Weasley etc would be cool. I'd love to see more about the war Voldemort started before his reign ended with Harry as a baby, the creation of the Marauder's Map, etc. There's so much content they could explore in the rich world that Rowling created that there's really no limit. However, I'm just rambling about things that will probably never come to pass in my lifetime haha. I look forward to watching the other 2 FB movies with you!

2024-02-07 05:41:11 +0000 UTCI am really glad to hear about your plan on watching the HP series in one day. You are defenitely gonna notice a lot of things that you missed during your first reactions, so I cant wait for that! Fantastic beasts arent comparable with HP but still there are many interesting things and easter eggs which you might enjoy. So i defenitely recommend you finishing them :) Thanks for the reaction dude, keep it up!

2024-02-05 17:02:21 +0000 UTCI recommended finishing the films, yes they arent comparable but they are fun to watch. Love the reaction so much fun! <3

2024-02-05 08:02:58 +0000 UTCCopy right laws prevent him from posting the full length films. He states where he is watching it from so that you can watch it from there as well or elsewhere if you have a different source. He then gives a countdown for us to start at the same time as him. After that he has a few seconds where the video and sound is clear so that we can appropriately match our movie with his. The other option is to watch his edited YouTube videos that are edited in a way to not violate copy right laws.

2024-02-05 07:53:09 +0000 UTCHuge Harry Potter fan and more knowledge than most here. Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them by Newt Scamander was on Harry's school supplies list in the first book. This is not at all what the fan base was wanting in a series but where it was trying to go, I was on board with. This was supposed to be a 5 film series building up to the final fight referenced in the Harry Potter series between albums Dumbledore and Grindelwald. Unfortunately the next film not going well, COVID, the Jonny Depp and Amber Heard defamation triles, screen rewrite, recasting, and so on... They decided to end the 5 film series as a trilogy and was underwhelming. I still am still here for any Harry Potter content. It was the Harry Potter reaction videos on YouTube that brought me to subscribe and then join the patron as a diamond member. The next film will have Easter eggs for the Harry Potter movies and I honestly enjoyed the second film even though the plot is a little hard to follow at first. It took me a second and third rewatch to understand the different side plots. I hope to see the next one here

2024-02-05 07:45:04 +0000 UTCPlease watch the other 2 also! They aint as bad as people think they just love complaining about everything

2024-02-05 05:38:37 +0000 UTCAlex, this is more about your recent reactions in genersl but many times you go on a long rant to make a stupid joke and miss key plot points or details. this is very frustrating.

2024-02-04 20:47:28 +0000 UTCIf you didn't talk over or walk away from your computer during every piece of dialog you might have understood the plot better xD. Seems like you decided out the gate to not like it so you were just goofin around which is fine, just kinda frustrating to watch. TL;DW newt is in America because that big griffin thing was poached and shipped to egypt. He came to America to return it to its home in Arizona. He told this to kowalski when they first went into the suitcase. The mixup with kowalski caused the briefcase to be opened which is why Newt had to stay in new york to round them up. The second salemers are a cult that basically are trying to expose wizard-kind because the mother for whatever reason believes that witches and wizards are real. Mustard girl butted heads with them a lot because of her abuse of credence, who everyone believed to be a squib, but because he had magic parents, that's why she as an auror was aware of him and wanted to protect him from abuse. Graves(grindelwald) was manipulating credence to find the obscurial in his vision. He assumed it was one of the younger orphans because the oldest obscurial in history before credence died at 10 years old, because developing an obscuris is 100% fatal, it's just a matter of time before it rips its host apart, which is why it's illegal for witches and wizards to suppress their magical ability Grindelwald was basically the proto-voldemort. He had similar pure-blood mania, but moreover hated muggles outright and wanted to exterminate them. His intention was to use the obscurial as a weapon of mass destruction on muggles. If you remember, Voldemort interrogates Grindelwald at the end of the series when he's trying to find the elder wand, as grindelwald was the last known user of it. ALSO, "magical beasts and where to find them" is a hogwarts text book, written by Newt Scamander. Also a neat easter egg is during the harry potter movies, on the mauraders map, you can see newt scamander's name moving around briefly. This movie occurs decades p rior to harry potter

2024-02-03 22:17:09 +0000 UTCIts Peacock their versions are cut to add commercials. But there are also extended scenes in the first two. so, watching on Peacock is good for the first two Harry Potter movies but not the rest better off with HBO or Vudu.

2024-02-03 18:10:17 +0000 UTCTo try and be clearer, if the source is 50Hz, your tv will prb try and play it back at 60Hz I think... this happened with Final Fantasy 9 if you played in Europe, which meant for a long time it was thought that it was impossible to get everything in the game because the EU one ran too quickly (one item was tied to a time limit).
AdrianF
2024-02-03 17:46:53 +0000 UTCI think that probably JKR had a tight story, but the studio wanted a trilogy, at least, so this was the build up of some characters, the second more of the same and the third the denouement.
AdrianF
2024-02-03 17:43:33 +0000 UTCI think it's something to do with the refresh rate. Historically, the EU (at least) was 50Hz, whereas the US was 60Hz. These days most TVs support both. Depending on which direction your version is going, you can set Alex's to 1.05 or 0.95 in YouTube (obv not for this one...) and it's much closer. You will still need to 'DJ' occasionally. If you watch a physical copy alongside his reactions, you won't (shouldn't) have the problem. I watched this last night (my 4K disc, Patreon's stream) and it was spot on. I can't check HBOMax right now to see if it has the problem you describe.

2024-02-03 17:34:35 +0000 UTCI never watched the 3rd one, but from what I remember the 2nd one wasn't that bad. I personally just enjoy the Harry Potter world, these movies here just explore more of the Wizarding World. Which is why this movie seems weird when it comes to story. It was more about introducing Chararacter and Beasts, not really about the Story.

2024-02-03 15:31:55 +0000 UTCAre there other people with the problem that the version Alex watches is slower then the one I watch? Because I need to pause my version every 2 minutes or else the difference get to big. I am watching it on HBOMax.

2024-02-03 14:05:50 +0000 UTCAh, Peacock. Don't have that either. I live in the Netherlands, over here Max has all the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies. I would say try a VPN, but for me it gets out of sync every few minutes so don't bother. Looks like I'll have to hunt down a copy that is the same as Peacock.
Dave Lemmens
2024-02-03 12:55:32 +0000 UTCYou gotta watch the next two movies. The plot is a little strange in these movies, but to fully understand the concept of Fantastic Beasts, you need to watch all of it. I think that you'll appreciate the effort put into the storyline and how it's all connected to the Harry Potter series. I'm not sure that you caught the fact that Grindelwald is the one in the Harry Potter series that had the Elder wand, which was then owned by Dumbledore. The obscurus plot also make a lot more sense in the next movie. So keep watching!
Daniele Buttigli
2024-02-03 12:39:02 +0000 UTCI actually really enjoy these movies and I think overall they are very well made.. The first one does indeed start very slow, in terms of plot, but in my opinion the second and third one make up for it. I think it's worth watching all three of them because if nothing else, they're a really fun watch.
Anna
2024-02-03 09:52:43 +0000 UTCHow did you even watch it on max? I couldn't find it and had to rent it on prime. He says in the video he watched it on peacock bu tI don't have that.
Nick Luce
2024-02-03 05:53:50 +0000 UTCMaybe I'm the only one here who thinks the others are really bad lol. I enjoyed this one, but the next two, especially the third are just not worth a watch. I seem to be a minority here so oh well. At least they're just movies and not a whole TV series. If you do watch maybe you'll have more fun than me.
Nick Luce

2024-02-03 04:28:11 +0000 UTCNewt just wanted to take Thunderbird home and got wrapped up in some heavy duty shit! While I enjoy the next two, Iβd really love to see Newt go on safari studying animals. No need for any more plot than that.

2024-02-03 04:10:24 +0000 UTCSomething Iβve learned is that you canβt trust these critics and βfansβ. Watch em all! Donβt deny yourself enjoyment because of pretentious haters. Every βfanβ-hated movie/show Iβve seen you react to youβve enjoyed. Thatβs why I started watching you; to see how a normal person reacts to these movies versus the so called βfansβ that call them garbage. It really showcases the toxicity in these fandoms.
Josh Bruner
2024-02-03 03:56:41 +0000 UTCwatch them all! Def better as a group. This sets up a lot of characters for the trilogy. And these characters are related to Harry Potter. Just have to realize who is related to who
Tom
2024-02-03 03:41:46 +0000 UTCIβd definitely recommend the next two man, I understand what you mean about the plot, it is more convoluted and less linear but itβs a bigger world than Harry Potter, the world is expanded and basically globalised. And Deppβs performance in the next one is one of my favourites π Also Grindelwald is such an interesting villain in my opinion, very different from Voldemort and in some ways far more intriguing. Really got my fingers crossed that youβll do the next two but it was so great to see you enjoy this one!

2024-02-03 03:17:11 +0000 UTCAlex------ This movie is introducing you to the main characters for the rest of the trilogy. These movies do not stand alone as some movies should. they are much better as the as a whole three parter.
Alfounce Jolly
2024-02-03 01:59:48 +0000 UTCYou gotta watch the rest man
Adam Daniel Breuer-Zehevi
2024-02-03 00:12:37 +0000 UTCI recommend watching the others. The second isn't that great, but you need to watch it in order to watch the third movie. The Secrets of Dumbledore. Which is worth the watch just to get some answers as to why he is the way he is sometimes. The main character is Newt Scamander and he has come to New York to do research for a novel is wanting to write. He writes the book and titles it Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them. In Harry Potter, Hermione references reading it. Grindlwald is also referenced in Harry Potter. This movie predates Harry Potter going to Hogwarts by about 70 years. The reason the plot seems so porous is because it was written as a screen play, not a novel. Harry Potter took Rowling twelve years to develop and get published. So, yeah. Potter definitely gets the upper hand.
Michelle Booth
2024-02-02 23:48:00 +0000 UTCWhat's the source of your video? The HBO Max (or Max as its called now) keeps getting out of sync every few minutes.
Dave Lemmens
2024-02-02 21:00:26 +0000 UTCI think you should watch the final 2 movies. they are entertaining, not the best of the movies, but they have value. It is the wizarding world, and you have to be open minded. It is a little shocking if you are not interested in watching them at all. :(

2024-02-02 19:50:23 +0000 UTCSequel was good the third with no explanation of face change (if they didnβt do that in the first one it would be somewhat acceptable but itβs a bit confusing and they should have let Depp finish out since trial didnβt finalize and when Depp gets himself back on high horse and getting deals WB and Disney will be eating their bums for rushing into this without waiting to the very end. I donβt even think they should have shafted Jonathan Majors and just finished it out at least in Kang dynasty because now they are in a pickle as any chance of continuing a great POTC franchise with anyone from cast or refocusing on another version Jack Sparrow) they might get away with a whole new telling with someone that can outshine Deppβs character to stand a chance continuing this world onward
Chris Nyeitz
2024-02-02 19:45:51 +0000 UTCYou've gotta watch the rest now. The next one is the worst of the three. I was abouta watch another playthrough of TLOU2 - the new documentary is brilliant - but you reacting more HP world is better........
