Ok this was an interesting movie. It wasn't a great story, but it was UNBELIEVABLE to watch! Does that make sense?

So far I’ve liked all these movies, I never watched them when I was younger so this is a good opportunity to see why so many people like them (nice to see anakin skywalkers back story:he’s soo cute)

Did you notice that Samuel L Jackson pretty much all he does during the movie is stroke his chin? My favorite line that I also use in my life is your focus determines your reality. I love the Mandalorian. I heard the one about Boba Fett really isn't very good. But I will check out the Clone Wars. Also I really hope he does solo a Star Wars story

Younglings age out at 13 and are sent to one of the Jedi's corps, Obi-Wan being sent to the Agri Corps. (Obi-Wan's story is well presented in book #1, The Rising Force, of the Jedi Apprentice books by Dave Wolverton.) Yoda sent Qui-Gon on a mission on the same ship that took Ob-Wan to the planet Bandomeer; Yoda hoped that events would then have Qui-Gon ask Obi-Wan to be his apprentice. And that is what happened.

I won't lie, when I first watched this as a kid I thought she was cute as hell. Jar Jar is great! hahahaha, definitely an annoying character that you either love or hate. "You'sa in a big doo doo this time!" lmao, it's all good, man! Jar Jar's always fun for first timers. :) Tattooine has always been (tatoo-een) The Sith were in the previous (original films). They're a special race that's protected from the mind tricks of the force. lmao, I always thought that dude's name was Banaka as a kid! I think Anakin's 11 or 12 here. That poster's pretty bad ass, man! :D Way cool. R2D2 C3PO Jar Jar It means that he POTENTIALLY can become more powerful than Yoda. Currently he has no idea how to anything Force related at all. Anything that he's done so far in life has been done by accident or without him knowing. I remember playing N64's Pod Racing game aaaaaages ago and 100%ing that thing! It was so much fun, back in the day! I'm with you there. This is why with everyone who begins watching the series, I say begin with episode 4. It's the best place to start because the story's solid as are the characters. Each of the films feel whole and are a welcome watch. Episode 1 on the other hand is and was made for children. That's plenty obvious with how it was made and presented to us. Episode 1 isn't a BAD movie but out of all of the Star Wars films it's the worst among them.

You were googling who plays Padme when she revealed that she is actually the queen. Only mention it because you still called the double the queen later on. 2. You seemed confused that they showed Palpatine when Yoda and Windu were talking about the Sith. Shouldn't be that confusing or a spoiler really because his name is Palapatine.

There are legitimate criticisms to be made about them, but there is a lot of background lore that needs to be built up in not only the rise of the Empire but in the creation of Darth Vader and the fall of the Jedi, and so on and so on. The prequels had to contain a fair bit of politics so the gravity of certain things can be felt later on. However I am 99% certain that at least 75% of Star Wars fans, whether they liked the Prequels or not, will agree that the “sequel trilogy” is flaming hot garbage and you should not taint your vision of Star Wars by watching them when the time comes. 7-9 are glorified fan fiction written by people who don’t give two shits about the long history and treasured lore of Star Wars. My vote is that you ignore 7, 8, 9, and anything that came out after the Mandalorian.

R2D2 is my least favorite because you don't really understand him, you only get what he says because someone else pretty much says what R2D2 said. Like here were 3PO said "What do you mean "Nacked"?" And Jar Jar is my favorite because he is just super funny to me. And 3PO is in the middle of that. I think what makes the "Story" of Episode 1 not good for many is, that it's pretty fast paced, very political and it's more like the groundwork for whats to come. Like in many Trilogies the first part is often not the best one, because it's the beginning. And often the 2nd part is the Favorite because it builds on the first one an improves. I personally enjoy Episode 1 a lot, because Darth Maul is pretty cool and Podracing is dope too. But overall I prefer 1-3 over 4-6. I guess for many it just comes down to what you started with. If you started with 4-6 you might enjoy it more than 1-3. If you started with 1-3 you might enjoy it or than 4-6.

2023-12-16 15:35:26 +0000 UTCA Sith is a dark force wielder who belongs to the ancient religious order of the Sith. There is a major difference between a force user who is a bad guy, and a Sith. A Sith has to have a master, and has to be trained in the ways of the Sith. If you would ever consider reading some SW books, Drew Karpyshyn's Darth Bane trilogy is a perfect start. These books explain the Sith perfectly.

2023-12-16 13:49:14 +0000 UTCI think people hate the prequels because they're NOT the original 3 with Mark, Carrie and Harrison they grew up loving and some people just don't like it. I think they really help explain a lot so I'm ok with them. Are they as good as the original 3? Not for me to say it's all personal opinion. But I remember enjoying them as they went meaning 1 was ok two was better than 1, 3 really tied it all together. And as for the newer ones, I liked those too. Hope Alex does them all. I didn't care for Solo, but if he does that one too, it's ok, Rogue One though I feel is a must see after part 3 as that is the proper timeline. All that being said now that I've watched this along with Alex.. My boy is killing me. Not very good at realizing who is who nor putting 2 and 2 together. :)

I know I may have been young when he was introduced to the Star Wars world, but Yoda was just as "annoying" in the earlier movies and people just seem to forget that. You can try to argue the point all you want, but there is a certain element of symmetry between the two characters that people CHOOSE to ignore only because people didn't like the prequel movies as much as the originals. The story could've had a much different (arguably better, when you really read into some of the subtext of this film) take than what we ended up with for the rest of this trilogy and its really a shame that Ahmed Best went through what he did. Its the fault of the older toxic fans who thought they knew whats best for Star Wars, that forced George Lucas to do some massive changes to his own project just to appease the idiot masses. Anyway, rant over, but I'm so glad that you enjoyed Jar Jar's character Alex and I look forward to your next great reaction!! #JusticeforJarJar!

Hes the comedic relief for the kids. But like you said at the start about how toxic the fans could be. The acot who played Jar Jar almost killed himself over all the hate he got for the role.... so theres that. I think newer viewers dont dislike him as much since they are going on like 10-20 (depending on age) years of aniticipation of a new movie then getting this throw away clumsy character made for kids.... Also i dunno if it was ever said in any behind the scenes but ive always been convinced that we have these droid armies because we cant have cool light saber fights hacking off peoples limbs constantly or the movie would be rated R so having droids meant you could do a lot more hack & slashing.

A few reasons... 1) I didn't hate Jar Jar when I first saw this, much like you I remember finding him cute and hilarious, but with time the collective star wars collective turned me against him. Seeing you enjoying him turned me back around. 2) I was WAITING for you to recognize Natalie Portman, aka Jane in the Thor movies, I was psyched when you finally did. 3) I'd rather fight the droids than the storm troopers. :) 4) Seeing young Anakin when I first watched this hit me just like it did you, sooooo crazy to see such a kind and innocent kid. 5) The pod race was the shit and there was a pc game I played to death in college pod racing that I'm now going to find and play again. Admittedly this was one of the weakest storyline star wars movies made, but watching you enjoy it brought back my memories of loving it, so thank you!

Some terminology: Jedi Master - The highest rank of Jedi and members of the Jedi Council. Jedi Knight - The rank a Jedi receives when they finish their padawan training and have passed their "Trials". Padawan - The officially recognized apprentice of a Jedi Knight, each Knight can train only one padawan at a time. Youngling - The lowest 'rank' in the Jedi Order, younglings are children that have been identified to have Jedi traits and who have been taken from their families to begin their Jedi training. According to some lore, I'm not sure if it's still cannon, Obi-Wan almost didn't get selected as a padawan due to his age.

EDIT: I totally agree that the prequel movies are shit as stand alone movies. But once you connect them with others they instantly become a lot better. AGAIN please watch The Clone Wars. This series gives a lot of context to the conflict that happens during the prequels and adds SOOOO MUCH to the characters.
