Finally finished this show ( got sidetracked by other things) , your reaction was fantastic! I was sad/confused that the ending cuts off but I found it on your YouTube edit vid for S2. I agree with everyone, Loki's ending is perfection!

2024-06-24 20:09:52 +0000 UTCSome of the scenes from this episode that were re-dos of the scenes from episode 4 in the observation deck, the whole cast were not informed why they did multiple takes. Only Tom Hiddleston knew since he was a producer. The loom makes sure nothing but the Sacred Timeline lives on. Loki's glorious purpose was the sacrifice himself to save everyone else. In the bar with Sylvie he said he didn't want to lose his friends. But in the end, that is what had to be done to save them. Yggdrasil was first mentioned waaay back in the first Thor when he is describing to Jane how the realms are connected. The TVA is now more of a police force keeping all the He Who Remains variants in place. You will also notice in the room that there are people of multiple positions/levels working together.

2023-11-20 06:46:15 +0000 UTCThanks man appreciate that. And I couldn't agree more. That whole sequence with Loki ascending had me stunned into silence/tears. The fact that no dialogue is spoken by Loki after his final lines to Mobius and Sylvie in the airlock was not only fitting, but it makes the following scenes that much more impactful. I also was very impressed by the fact that even though we don't get any dialogue there, we as the audience are able to follow along PERFECTLY and understand what's going on because the visual storytelling was so well done. Overall still just stunned at this ending and series as a whole. We don't deserve Tom Hiddleston lol

2023-11-16 04:58:50 +0000 UTCFirst off...HOW COULD YOU CUT OFF THE FINAL SCENE AND YOUR REACTION?!?! That being said, this was probably the best thing that Marvel has put out since Endgame, easily the best TV show. The character arc that Loki takes from the first Thor movie to this is one of the most well developed I've ever seen. The end was such a fitting circle for Loki that he finally got the throne he always wanted when he wanted it the least. Few observations below: - The beginning Marvel logo sequence is entirely in reverse to represent the groundhog day-esque theme of the episode - HWR stands for "He Who Remains" hence the line RIP HWR when he was talking about if Sylvie had killed him - "See you soon" was just as much to Loki as it was to Sylvie as he was the one that started Loki's whole time slipping thing. He KNEW that if Sylvie killed him that it would lead to the destruction of everything and that Loki would HAVE to come back to THAT moment to stop her. Hence his line about "reincarnation...baby" - Loki's last words to Mobius and Sylvie about being the God he needs to be "for you, for all of us" is a call back to the end of the very first Thor movie when Odin catches Loki and Thor after Thor destroys the Bifrost bridge. As Loki is holding onto Odin's staff he says that exact line so again, full circle. Big difference is that in Thor, he said the line as an excuse for his bad actions, here he's using it as his call to arms for making the real sacrifice that needs to be made - The end sequence where Loki breaks the loom and ascends to the end of time is him becoming the "God of Stories" version of Loki that was fleshed out in the "Loki: Agent of Asgard" comic series. He's literally holding time together so that infinite branches can exist without needing to be pruned - The reason Loki didn't get shredded by the temporal radiation when he went out on the walkway was that at that point, he had learned to literally control time (stopping, reversing, going back and forth, etc) - The final shot of the timeline after Loki takes his throne is meant to evoke Yggdrasil, the World Tree. Loki is from Asgard which is based alot on Norse Mythology. Yggdrasil is the "tree of life" hence Loki re-fashions the timeline into a physical representation of it holding all life in it in the Multiverse and he's the eternal "gardener" maintaining the branches

2023-11-16 01:34:14 +0000 UTCI've seen a lot of people mention that Loki is now the God of Stories. I think it would be awesome of that's what they do with him, but as the God of Stories I feel that would leave the possibility of Loki returning. This feels like a good end for the character. Having him return in Secret Wars or something to assemble a multiversal Avengers might be cool, but almost the same feeling as if they brought back Tony Stark. I kinda want it to be the end. I think it was intentional that when Loki time slipped for the last time it was when Victor used the Temporal Aura scanner and it said "Welcome He Who Remains" as Loki appeared. I think it would also make sense if he was simply the new HWR. Just like he and Sylvie said "It's okay to destroy something... If there's a hope that you can replace that thing with something better." He could be the better HWR that is burdened by the throne he didn't even want anymore.

2023-11-15 20:06:46 +0000 UTCLoki’s story from Thor in 2011 to this episode in 2023 has got to be the best hero arc ever. Truly. Better than any of the stories from history. Greek, Roman, Chinese, even the original Loki Norse stories.

2023-11-15 18:52:32 +0000 UTCLoki now exists at the “end of time” which is outside time and space. He molded the dying multiverse after destroying the loom into Yggdrasil. In Norse mythology Yggdrasil is the tree of life which connects all things in the cosmos. I hope to see this Loki lead a team of avengers in Secret Wars. He’s now God of stories/avenger prime Loki from the comics
