She-Hulk: Episode 9: Whose Show Is This? (FULL EPISODE REACTION)

Hey guys!

I feel like we literally just stated this series! This was such an interesting show; I don't quite know how I feel about it!

I can see why people dislike it, but I can also see what people really enjoy it! I guess it just depends on what type of mood I am in that day.

What are your final thoughts on this series?

Love you guys so much!

-Alex

PS: poll for the next series will be releasing at 11am CST

The opening to episode 9 here is back to the incredible hulk 1970s tv series

You think it's weird but it's actually part of her power she can break the forth dimensional wall that's why she can talk to us

Devon Rivera

I think it was a decent first shot at something different. I get that it may not be some people's cup of tea, but I overall enjoyed it.

David Coates

I thought it was great silly fun and once I embraced the silliness of it, I liked it a lot.

Jean Choi

Please react to season 2 of daredevil

The sad thing is there are tons of Marvel fanboys just like the ones in Inteligencia who hate "female" superheros because there strong women.. The show was kinda making fun of all the trolls that Marvel get over Black Widow, Captain Marvel, etc.

As James (Tony) Costabile the intro came from the original 70s Hulk tv show, a near shot for shot replication. The box she jumped into when on the D+ menu screen is for "Assembled", the behind the scenes/making of series for some Marvel shows and movies. So it fit in that she was on the Disney lot and met with the writers/creators, and went into the actual Marvel offices. There is only one Kevin in the MCU...Kevin Feige. K.E.V.I.N. is supposed to represent him as the one mind making all the master decisions in MCU. Even down to the black baseball cap. When K.E.V.I.N. tells her that the animators have moved onto another project and you hear the jingle in the background, its the sound affect for Wakanda, meaning they have moved onto Wakanda Forever. Skaar is from the comics and has a big storyline in the comics. Sakaar was the trash planet where Hulk was stuck and did the arena fighting. People complain when Marvel changes characters/plots from the comics, and they complained here where they stuck to the comic/character. They can't win so they just do their thing. I enjoyed the series as a character introduction. Marvel set the bar so high with Infinity War and End Game that so many have such high expectations for everything else. Not everything can be of that level. You have to have lower bar content so to speak so that you can bring back the epic levels for their big movies. You have to have a balance. No She-Hulk movie teased at all, but with Skaar it does tease another Hulk movie that will finally be completely under the Marvel brand, now that Marvel has full ownership of the IP again. Bruce/Hulk will finally be able to have his own movie, not just be a special guest on other character's movies/series. Would love to see you go and do the "I Am Groot" animated shorts. They are just a few minutes long each so you can easily do them all in one video. Next up in order that you haven't seen: I Am Groot Werewolf By Night Guardians of The Galaxy 3 Secret Invasion Looking forward to you getting into any easter egg/detail breakdown videos of Marvel stuff from the likes of New Rockstars or Screencrush!

Bro please go back and watch daredevil season 2

She-Hulk and Deadpool are both breaking the fourth wall (so expect that from Deadpool when you get there) in the comics. So when she starts talking to the viewer or when she goes in the Marvel Studios building to talk with K.E.V.I.N., that's not as much Marvel trying something new and different as it is Marvel staying truthful to the original She-Hulk/Deadpool character (she often "jumps out of the comics". And yes, I thought the X-Men and the other Easter Eggs were clever). That being said, She-Hulk is rightfully considered as one of the weaker MCU shows (compared to what it has to compete with). GOTG 3 and Secret Invasion are the next movie + series in line for MCU, so I'm really excited to watch along these as well. Cheers!

This episode really played on some stuff the comics have done. She Hulk has jumped out of frames and spoken to the comic writers directly before, and that’s what they were shooting for with this. For someone unfamiliar with the comics, it’s just bizarre though. I didn’t really get it the first time I watched through this either, but I did some research on the books later. I really enjoyed my second watch through of this after having done that.

Also, the movie that was referenced is a Hulk movie, not a She-Hulk movie!

Episode 9 may have been a little too meta for our boy Alex. 😂

Gotta love the intro. Its just a parody of the original Hulk series from the 70s

James (Tony) Costabile

I'd definitely be interested in your post-show commentary on the series since I'm assuming you recorded all these at once and now have picked up a ton more of the lore and such through the comments as we've went through the season. I'd be interested to see the difference between your perspective going into the show only based on review and what people thought compared to knowing now how much of the stuff you didn't like was actually a part of the character in the comics.

Kevin is Kevin Feige
