Captain America: Civil War FULL MOVIE REACTION

Sorry this one was so late, guys! Thank you so much for being patient!

Captain America: Civil War FULL MOVIE REACTION

Comments

The comic book stuff tho is accurate. Lol

Michael Hodgkinson

Tony was more reasonable because of that kid they accidentally killed in the fight in the sokavia. The scene were the mother of son blamed Tony for it. That is why he was reasonable. U really think TONY STARK gives 2 fucks about the government and it's rules. Did u not see iron Man 2

Michael Hodgkinson

Also, the movie does a very bad job of explaining what the Sokovia Accords do in order to make Tony seem more reasonable. The full Sokovia accords is laid out in the comics and is much more explained. For example, the Sokovia Accords also requires all mutants to register with the government and sign up for the military draft basically declaring that all super powered individuals and mutants must be ready to serve and fight in the military against their will any time the government demands. Even if your power does not help in combat and is something as stupid as 'I have blue toes' you are required to fight and die against the governments enemies any time they demand. It also stripped all mutants and super powered individuals of their 'due process' rights and their 'privacy' rights which the constitution normally grants. There is a bunch of other rights it took away as well, but this is already a long comment LOL. Needless to say, the Sokovia accords violated both the U.S. Constitution / Bill of Rights and the U.N. Charter on Human Rights in about a dozen different ways.

this movie is actually meant to subtly deconstruct the three main philosophy behind the true nature of justice. There is a great YouTube analysis video on this film concerning the topic.

If you look close enough when spiderman catches that punch from Bucky, the look on his face is complete shock, not because his punch got caught but when Spiderman talks Bucky realizes he is just a kid. It's the little details that are amazing. -

I loved your reactions to this. I kept saying "Just wait until this...." or "wait until this happens" because I've seen it all and I can just imagine how you're going to react when you see some things that happen. Makes me look forward to each Monday, which I've spent YEARS dreading!

When it comes to Natasha and her skills... remember her flashbacks in Age Of Ultron? Of her being trained as a kid, with the 'graduation ceremony' that she talks about with Bruce explaining why she can't have kids... and even in the 1st Avengers movie, when Clint is 'waking up' from the brainwashing he asks Natasha if she knows what thats like, and she responds 'you know I do'. She was trained in 'The Red Room', basically raised from a child to be an assassin. Thats why shes such a badass. Kinda like the female version of 'Winter Soldiers' but without any super serums.

You are too funny sometimes “What is HAPPENING?!” Seconds later the scene plays out “Oh” I crack up every time and say “Wait… you will understand in a minute.” You mentioned Thor’s hammer and being able to pick it up is not about strength, which is why Hulk couldn’t pick it up when they were fighting in the first Avengers movie. It’s about who is worthy. If you go back to Age of Ultron when they were all trying to pick it up, there was a moment when Cap tried and it moved for a split second and you can see the look on Thor’s face. You are right, Tony is all about breaking the rules, but when he met that woman who held him responsible for her son’s death in Sokovia, that triggered something in him. On the other hand, I understand Cap’s POV too. He doesn’t want the government sending him someplace where he shouldn’t be and not be able to help where he is needed. At the end of Tony and Cap’s fight when Cap used the shield to crack the arc reactor on Tony’s suit, Cap picked up the shield and helped Bucky up and started to walk away, but Tony told Cap that his father(Howard) made the shield and Cap didn’t deserve it, so Cap left it with Tony and walked away, he didn’t say F the shield. I love the letter that he wrote Tony at the end and that he would always be there if Tony needed him.

Yo so in winter soldier zola (guy in the computer) shows how hydra uses his algorithms to pick targets and change the course of history, he then shows information about howard Stark's death, and how he was in a car accident implying the winter soldier was responsible for eliminating howard as a target. Team iron man, sometimes my team mates dont tell me things lol

Alvin Baca

I don’t if many people know this and if you didn’t watch TWD you wouldn’t know her but the voice of FRIDAY (Tony Stark’s AI after Jarvis) is the Irish woman from s4 that Rick Grimes meets in the woods who talked to the head of her dead boyfriend.

I absolutely adore this movie--it's seriously one of my top five--but I still get so incredibly sad whenever I see Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) on screen.

Civil war is my favorite and I’m definitely Team Cap 🧢 although they do make a compelling argument for Team Tony. Cap’s argument is better though IMO. Love your reactions as always! 🥰

Iron Man release date: May 2nd, 2008... The Incredible Hulk release date: June 13th, 2008. Worth watching so he can meet Ross, but TIH did not launch the MCU, Iron Man did.

Oh, I can’t wait to see this when I get off work today!!

Tara

I'd like to see the reaction to the first couple of episodes of WandaVision.

Super Dave

This movie is really my favorite, I could watch it again and again. The Winter Soldier movie was excellent, and the last two avangers too, but this one will always have a special place in my heart. Out of curiosity, are you planning to watch only the MCU movies and stop at Avengers Endgame, or are you going to continue and watch the disney+ series as well? I would be curious to see your reaction to some of them!!

And to clarify, Cap said he didn't know it was HIM, just that he knew that Hydra had Tony's parents killed, not that it was Bucky that did it. Reverse this situation, and if Rhodey had done heinous things to Steve's parents under mind control, and Steve wanted to kill him because of it - Tony would do everything he could to protect him. No question. As he should. Bucky is absolutely tortured by what he's done. His line reading of "I remember all of them" breaks my heart. It's the Bucky from the beginning of Captain America 1, who was a great, loyal, brave man, with memories of his body doing atrocious things. The only living person from Steve's old life, he would do anything to protect and help him. It's such a beautiful story.

I do understand both sides, but I'll always, always, always be Team Cap/Team Bucky. I feel so bad for everything Bucky has been through. Decades of torture and mind control, only to be framed and hunted down. I love this movie, though, for all the obvious reasons. Great reaction!

No worries, man. Can’t wait to watch the whole thing tomorrow! I commented on the YouTube upload - it’s worth watching the version of the Hulk movie with Edward Norton that came out before Iron Man. That actually kicked off the MCU, they just recast the character in The Avengers. Secretary Ross is one of the main characters (RIP William Hurt) and it will help shed some light on why he has such a hard on for controlling the Avengers.

ChristinaVVM

This one is hard for me to watch in full length anyway. I’ll admit I’m team cap, but they do a fabulous job of making both sides understandable.
