Very racist for them to hire a black man to recast.... a black man. What an ignorant baited comment. He made more money for Ironman 1 than RDJ did. (4.5 million compared to 2.5 Million) and when RDJ got a raise to 10 million for the second, Terrance wanted the same amount and when Marvel said "No." he quit. Get your facts straight before you make wild comments.

2023-01-18 03:47:48 +0000 UTCThey filmed the car effects in real life! That's why a lot of them look realistic, a good deal of it was practical, there's a behind the scenes feature about it. Honestly that suitcase suit remains my favorite Suit Up scene in all of the MCU, it's just so unexpected and cool! As for the scene in the hangar, check out Hammer's hands in that scene, they're covered in orange tanner! I love the way Rockwell commits to his roles, no matter how snake-y they are! ((spoilers for patrons who haven't watched this yet, just in case)) Lt. Col. James Rhodes and Tony Stark went to college together, and when Rhodey joined the Air Force he ended up the liaison between Stark Industries and the military. They recast Terrence Howard who played Rhodey in IM1, in part because of racism in the higher-ups, and partly because of salary. As for Natalie/Natasha, what I find fascinating is that her character seems to have decided she could have an 'in' to keep an eye on Tony by being a sexpot, but it *doesn't work* because he's hung up on Pepper. I found it really fascinating that the filmmakers allowed her to be introduced 'failing' at that part of her mission! Great writing, honestly.

And just a side note: When you start watching, it would help some of us syncing up if you did a "3,2,1,play" when you start the movie. And a side note: Terrance Howard, who played Colonel Rhodes in the 1st movie, was replaced by Don Cheadle in all the upcoming movies after getting into a contract dispute with Disney over $$. More side notes: As a person whose camped out for the week at NASCAR races, it's a bit easier to see the whole track when you're sitting way up in the stands. Pretty crazy to stand up close to the fence when those things go flying by though. That being said... all the drinking and partying in the campgrounds for the week is more fun than the actual races =p
