Question on Mods and EA's Content
Added 2022-03-06 15:22:44 +0000 UTCI don't know how to handle this. But what do you all think I should do when EA releases content that I created as a mod. For example, i have an Engagement event but the new pack that just came out releases an engagement event.
Should I remove those and consider them obsolete or would you like to see me keep mods I create even if EA creates them later on?
Vote to keep the mods or remove them once EA creates them.

2022-03-08 16:29:34 +0000 UTCDon't doubt. Theirs break or get given to us broken. You and other cc creators work hard to give us simmers awesome mods and are quicker than EA/Sims on updating them. We all appreciate your hard work. We love your stuff and that is why we support you.

2022-03-08 07:18:39 +0000 UTCI doubt that but thanks for the kind words!

2022-03-08 04:02:16 +0000 UTCYour mods are better than EA's and I would rather use yours than theirs.

2022-03-08 00:21:40 +0000 UTCIt's nice to not have to purchase every pack in order to do the things we want to do in-game, and EA seems to have a knack for @#&$ing it up anyway, lol, so... yeah. Please don't make us rely on packs! =D Edit: My only suggestion (and apologies if anyone's already mentioned this) is maybe offer a disclaimer in the description when this happens, along the lines of "Note: EA now includes this in [Applicable Pack] and may or may not be compatible with this mod." *shrug*

2022-03-07 21:08:11 +0000 UTCVariety is good and modders do a far better job than ea anyway. I vote to keep them

2022-03-07 18:11:51 +0000 UTCLooks like I will be keeping them! :)

2022-03-07 16:48:15 +0000 UTCKeep them, please. Honestly, you do a much better job modding than EA does. Your events, traits and aspirations are, in my opinion, far superior to anything they have put out. My feeling is: Let EA create the game and let modders create their works to enhance it..

2022-03-07 12:07:59 +0000 UTCPlease keep them cause EA releases these packs unfinished. Mods work way better. Thank you for your amazing work!

2022-03-07 10:10:41 +0000 UTCI think you should keep them because EA tends to not implement ideas as well as the modders imo. I mean icemunmun’s candle making station was much better than EA’s version, and I’m sure the same would be true for you

2022-03-07 02:24:59 +0000 UTCI say keep them because not everyone will purchase all EA content, especially when it is as buggy as this latest pack.

2022-03-07 01:36:31 +0000 UTCI would keep them but see if you can make them work with EA's versions. Always nice to have additional things to do

2022-03-06 23:09:28 +0000 UTCI think you should keep them or at best expand on the ones EA has and give them more interactions and such.

2022-03-06 19:54:02 +0000 UTCKeep the mod and fix it if something conflicts because the mod has a lot more depth and detail than whatever EA creates. And they work better than the EA ones.

2022-03-06 18:19:15 +0000 UTCI think that you should keep them. I think that it is very telling and CRAPPY on EA's behalf for stealing content...if they gonna steal it, at least make it work. Keep up the good work girl
2022-03-06 17:02:24 +0000 UTCDefinitely keep them. The EA ones don’t always work and even if they did, it’s nice to have the choice. I have several mods for things that EA later implemented in the game but I still kept the mods because they’re often better and have more depth than what EA came up with. Also, not everyone can afford to buy every pack so these mods give players a more affordable way to enjoy the same gameplay.

2022-03-06 16:57:46 +0000 UTCdefinitely keep for the simmers who can’t buy packs for any reason
2022-03-06 16:10:41 +0000 UTCKeep them!! EVERY SINGLE TIME EA releases anything it’s always an issue!! We trust YOUR products! Plus not all of us want to pay for EA kits/packs. I, myself would rather pay the actual people who make specific content (like you & other creators) than waste money on another pack that doesn’t offer HALF of what you guys provide in your mods. Just my opinion though….😏🤟🏽💕💕💕🤟🏽

2022-03-06 16:05:00 +0000 UTCDefinitely keep them if they don't conflict. I know I personally have kept mods even when EA added stuff/gameplay in a pack.
Razzle Dazzle
2022-03-06 15:58:07 +0000 UTCDefinitely keep them. Their stuff doesn't work half the time, has no goals and everyone won't buy the pack to get the benefit of that event.
Prahkeet-Mama P Sims
2022-03-06 15:45:50 +0000 UTCI would say keep yours because you can always add more to your mod if you wanted to like for example strippers jumping out of a cake for the Bach party *hint hint* 🤣
2022-03-06 15:35:40 +0000 UTCI feel you should keep yours as long as there aren't any conflicts.

2022-03-06 15:34:21 +0000 UTCI would definitely keep them! I don’t plan on buying the wedding pack. I have no interest in it at all. I’m not huge on the new cas/buildbuy items and the interactions I can use my mods for. For me personally, buying that pack is a waste of money just like quite a few of the other ones. I prefer using my downloaded mods 😂

2022-03-06 15:33:32 +0000 UTCSometimes your events have more depth to them then the EA ones so I voted to keep them. For example, I found the charity event that you can do with the Get Famous pack lacking so I submitted a mod request to you for your version of one. I have a feeling yours would be much more fun to play.
Sims Storyteller
2022-03-06 15:28:52 +0000 UTCI would keep them cause the regular game events don’t work anyway especially right now 💖

2022-03-06 15:28:48 +0000 UTCI think you should keep them because I'm not buying any more packs until sims 5. And I'd rather in invest in you!
2022-03-06 15:28:13 +0000 UTCI haven’t downloaded the new pack and updated my game yet. But from my experience those of you who mod provide more variety even if the game has the same thing. I’d say maybe fix your mods to incorporate what’s missing? Like if the new pack allows an engagement party then maybe you’re mod can include a toast option or something (just an example). But I’m sure modding take a lot of time & effort so I don’t want to overstep with my ideas…

2022-03-06 15:27:58 +0000 UTCIf EA doesn't add them to the base game, or if your mods offers anything more/different, you should keep them.
2022-03-06 15:27:44 +0000 UTCIt gives us the choice because I can’t see EA’s being as good as yours
Angella109
2022-03-06 15:26:32 +0000 UTCI think you should say something about it to EA. Unless they did a FULL copy/paste to your mod, I would definitely say something about it. This is your work and a lot of the ideas come from creators like you.
