Careers and Work From Home Updates

1/30 - Thought I'd give an update. Still working on these, I ran into an error with some of the university add-ons but not for all careers. It's interesting adding the level jump for degrees and kind of fun! Read below for more information. The careers.tuning file will be made available when I am completely finished.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

I will post the package file to allow your Sims to have a level jump for degrees after all careers are updated, but you are welcome to download career updates now that include an expanded work from home tasks.

If I find a relevant degree, I will add it to a career!

Sims 2 Remakes - Sims 2 Careers are completely updated.  You can download them below and if you want to read the descriptions click here and see the required packs needed.

Architecture, Part-Time 

Added two more work from home tasks but has no university level jump.

Dancer 

Added 8 more work from home tasks but has no university level jump.

Hacker 

Updated the career image, added more work from home tasks and added a level jump for Sims who have a Computer Science degree.

Journalism 

Added 8 more work from home tasks and Sims with a Communications and Language and Literature degree will jump to Horoscope Writer.

Sims 3 Remakes - Can read the additional descriptions here they are ready to be downloaded except for maybe 2 but read below for more information.

Art Appraiser

Sims with the Art History will jump to the Master Transporter Level (Level 5)

Architectural Designer

Sims with a degree in Art History or Fine Arts, will jump to Décor Debutant Level (Level 5)

Astronomer 

Sims with the Physics degree with jump to the Amateur Astronomer level. (Level 5)

Daycare

Sims with a Psychology degree will jump to the Good Guardian Level (Level 4)

Film

Sims with a Drama degree will jump to the Production Manager Level (Level 5)

Firefighter

No university level jump but added more work from home tasks. Also has a new Sims image relating to Firefighters!

Fortune Teller

Not available yet because the new pack came out and I need time to see what fits.

Nectar Maker

Uses the Nectar Skill, so no eligible degree there for a level jump.

Photographer

Sims with a degree in Fine art will jump to the Social Network Profile Photographer (Level 4)

Science 

Sims with a degree in Biology or Science will jump to Aquatic Ecosystem Tweaker (Level 6)

Singer

No university level jump but I did add more work from  home objectives

Spa 

Only has 3 levels and is considered part time so no level jump for degrees

Stylist

Sims with a degree in Art History or Fine Art will jump to the In Vogue Virtuoso (Level 6) and has a new career image.

Video Game Developer

No level jump because could not find an applicable degree.

New Careers 

Animal Shelter

No level jump with University but added more work from home tasks.

Atelier Alchemist

No level jump with University but added more work from home tasks.

Baker 

Sims with a degree in Culinary Arts will jump to the Cupcake Factory Expert job level (Level 6).

Banker

Boxing

Sims with a Biology degree will jump to the Upstart Level (Level 5).

CareerBuilder

Celebrity Manager

Sims with a degree in Communications will jump to the Publicist Level (Level 4).

Charity Ambassador 

Sims with a degree in Communications will jump to the Charity Fundraising Coordinator (Level 3).

Construction

Dentist

Did not add any university level jump. Career has two levels and then you pick a branch with one level.

Dietitian

Added more work from home tasks.

Driver

Electrical Engineer

Sims with a degree in Computer Science will jump to the Electrical Signal Analyst level (Level 6).

Emergency Medical Dispatcher/Technician

Pending

Event Planner

Sims with a Communications degree will jump to the Wedding Planner level (Level 6).

Fashion Designer

Sims with a degree in Art History or Fine Art will jump to the Career Level of Fashion Consultant (Level 5)

Food Technology

Sims with a degree in Culinary Arts will jump to the Food Technology Technician level (Which is level 2, but once promoted you choose a branch).

Forensic Scientist

Sims with a degree in Psychology will jump to the career level Pathologist Assistant (Level 4)
