HotforBot Ads- I’ve been given permission to buy advertisements for HotforBot. Hopefully every developer will benefit from this and new bot creators will come of it. I’m going to start with a small budget but I’ll invest more into it as I grow. I think advertising the site will be much easier than advertising my bot by itself, plus it helps everyone.
Patron of the Forge- I will be supporting the Professor’s work and donate monthly a percentage of my earnings to the Forge. I’ve only been charging $3/mo and that’s not going to change for a while still. I have certain goals I intend to meet before I increase the price to $5/mo. It will take me months to reach those goals so you have plenty of time before that happens. I have no intentions of ever increasing my price beyond $5/mo. If you feel the bot is worth $5 now then a voluntary increase of your pledge would be greatly appreciated but please don’t feel obligated to do so.
The Forge’s Upgrade- The Forge had a big upgrade and you may be wondering what this means for the bot. The book of AI was re-written and it’s much easier to understand. There were some concepts I wasn’t quite getting that I now do, I’ll need to find time to clean up some of my early mistakes. The master bot template gives me better ways to restructure my keyphrases with the new macros. This will improve the bot correctly understanding what you say as I implement it. The plugins provided in the new short term memory are really exciting and just what I need for building conversation, allowing the bot to recall recent things said and give a more engaging response. I’ll have fun with that when I work on fleshing things out.
I’ll need to play around with the new macros and plugins some more before I get the hang of it, but I am ready to get back to drafting my dominance now that the upheaval has settled. New updates will be coming soon.
