Brains needed!

I'm looking for brainy ideas on what I can use these on around the house - they basically let you switch manual devices on and off.
I've got a feeling there's a genius idea or two out there, I just can't think of one right this moment

Oooh you've inspired me with the usb lights, there's loads of little things like that - even monitor buttons at the back of monitors - I could definitely use them there, I'm going on a button hunt!!! Oh and I LOVE the names!!!!! 😁😁😁

2024-07-05 19:09:27 +0000 UTCI have a very ancient non-latching light contact "on" switch on my very dumb dishwhsher, and the switchbot switch was perfect for that (he's called "Alfred the BOTler" ). I tried using it on my tumble dryer, but the "on" button required more force than the switch was capable of, so it didn't work. So now I use it for a usb light on my monitor for doing webinars (that one's "Dave BOTtista". 😁

2024-06-25 15:10:12 +0000 UTCHey Cam! Well they're about $20 each (lots of discounts and multi-buy deals) - so they definitely scale nicely - eg if you have a floorlamp and you want to make it 'smart', then you could use one of these to convert it... so that could be a use case for them...!

2024-06-25 12:36:19 +0000 UTCIt's a really good point on power strips actually - something simple like that could be really effective not least as when you have 6-10 devices plugged into them, even the residual draw becomes more significant.

2024-06-25 12:25:54 +0000 UTCHey Dominic - yes, they have a little sticky pad that let's them grip the rocker switch, so they can push down and pull it up (ie off and on) - so you can do both.

2024-06-25 12:24:47 +0000 UTCCan they only go one way on a rocker switch? Off the top of my head, you could mount them to switchable power strips (I like them to turn entire sets of things completely off, like the different computers, or most stuff in my workshop).
