Ok this sounds silly, but this is a great example of something that I didn't even consider part of the 'build' but ended up being the toughest part of the whole project....
I simply decided I wanted to transplant some bamboo that was growing to create a bit of a screen for the sauna itself and to open up a space in front for the entrance.
Easy enough, huh?
No. Bamboo roots are like nothing I've ever seen before - they're too fibrous to cut like tree roots and too tough to spade through. I tried mattocks, shovels, saws, chainsaws... in the end it was just brute force and a few insults that seemed to get the job done!
Now please tell me if there's an easy way to do this for future.... or maybe don't!
