Sauna Build #2 - Construction begins!

The main construction
I laid a weed control fabric under everything to ensure I'm not having to dig around under the barrel for the next decade and laid the base frames on top of it.
Once the base frames for the barrel were in place, I lined up the first few planks on top of them. Then I measured absolutely spot on for straightness - the base frames had to be totally perpendicular to the barrel planks and had to be at exactly the right spots or I'd have all sorts of trouble later on. So this was definitely measure twice, drill once....!
I took ages on this part to really make sure the first 5-6 planks were perfect - if you get this right, then the rest is just simply slotting together and takes no time at all. It really flew together for me after this and I'd completed the circle before I knew it.
Clamps were essential for ensuring each plank perfectly fit the surrounding shape and I highly recommend an impact driver for the metal straps that tighten around the barrel. I can't see how anyone could be bothered to manual wrench it - took seconds with the impact driver!
