There is a documentary called The Show Must Go On, Queen + Adam Lambert that actually explains exactly that. It used to be on Netflix, but I looked it up, and now it seems to be on Apple TV. Well worth watching. They haven't announced that they have stopped touring together, even though Brian is 77 and Roger is 75. I hope that they do one more tour, so that I can see them live.
